  3. yesterday i scraped #92, an 88 xt6 and last sunday i bought #93, A 99 LEGACY WAGON i would say ive had40 or so gl/loyal/dl 40 or so first gen legacies half a dozen second and third gen legacies, 3 brats, and two xt/xt6 cars three rx, one was a sedan i love me some subaru....s
  4. i left the xt6 seal in, no complaints yet, i wrote down your timkin number for future referance if needed, as for now, its done and driving well

  7. my old lexus averaged 26- driving calmly behing a u haul for 400 miles it did 32 my lifted 4runner does 18 ave, did 24.5 behind large u haul for 800 miles....i move alot
  8. it should slide out, gentle bfh persuasion sometimes needed, dont whack your wheel studs, protect them with the lug nuts

  10. i bought a car that someone did this too, and the solution was exactly what you said- i pulle d the trans, sooooooooooo much easier on a bench
  11. so- i installed impreza axles, they are too long- so i lengthened the control arms 1 inch worked perfect used full xt6 spindles, control arms, sways impreza axles, 99 outback struts with xt6 springs and top hats xt6 rear brakes, plates, hubs someone less drunk then i needs to do a how too for other members the end result was a 1.25 lift in front, sits level now
  12. ive read all the posts- there are vauge answeres. i purchased 93 fwd 5spd imp axles, 23 trans side, ej outers, they fit well but are too long it seems again- ive read this before, but theer are no solutions posted
  13. ya- question is-the doj from the ea does not fit the xt6 axle- what is the solution
  14. im doing a 5 lug swap, 88 gl d/r 23 spline at tranny i have xt6 axles the ea82 inner cups do not fit, the xt6 axles are larger inside sooo...do i put the xt6 outer onto the ea axle?? if so how the hell do i get them off? im a big guy and have wailed on the doner axle to no avail. help!!

  16. porche- expensive, garbage, hard to work on- subaru, cheap, well designed, and easy to work on you will see subaru engines in vws and porches, but never the other way around
  17. i can purchase an xt6 pretty cheap, bad heads, was a driver prior to that what is teh 5speed with diff lock worth? the full 5 lug swap? any other parts worth anything? ill make this clear- i would only buy it to make money, if i cant make what i want- ill pass it on to the board members
  18. the legacy vf11 and even the wrx tdo4 are great upgrades, but in the end, adding power to that engine is going to make a bad situation worse. i agree with the above- an ej22 is an easier, more reliable, and more powerful upgrade
