  1. im running about 4 inches lift with no drop blocks. the car aligned perfectly, drives true, and has gobs of ground clearance it will put a little more strain on the front axles, but mine are running great so far, and where only 2 degrees steeper then when i was lifted about 3 inches, so im not worried
  2. ok Gloyale- im actually glad you chimed in with helpful words- i had the car aligned prior to install, and post the car had 0* camber before and 2 after BUT WAS RETURNED TO ZERO this change was only because i didnt line it up correctly on install the point im making is this- if you car is in good shape prior to this install then there is no reason the factory installed eccentric bolts will not fix any missalignment as far as lift- yep ive got 4 inches of lift, rear axles will never wear out even at the increased angle- you and i both know that as for the front- they are at an increased angle- however, pre lift and post lift show 2* increase in shaft angle- this is forester strut vs forester stut and spacer measurments if it was going to wear out, it would have done it in the 10k miles i drove lifted 3 inches, i certainly doubt 2* is all of a suddon going to ruin the axles. however- prior to me selling these- im going to drive 4k miles, round trip in a few weeks. were talking sitting on the highway at 70mph for DAYS, wheeling at my destination, then returning home. i think we can both agree that any ill affects will become known in that time. Bottom line is this- everysingle one of us here are modifying FAMILY CARS for off road use, adventure, whetever your cup of tea is. every one of us that has a lifted subaru of ANY kind, are using parts as they where NOT intended- axle wear, alignment tweaks, and vibrations are part of the game. Gloyal- you, of all people, should be clapping at my efforts, not trying to hinder progress- if i misinturpreted your post i appologise
  3. thanks for posting pics!! awesome. i have all engineering and fab pics also if desired
  4. i just got back from les schwab, they alignment was a little off, but is in 100% now. i measured against my freinds stock 92 wagon, and it is 4 1/8 inches taller with forester struts, links, and these spacers. i have not droped a diff or cross member, and have seen no ill affects yet. im driving it 3500 miles in a few weeks so ill let yall know what i tink my machinest said hes up for selling more, but initially they are going to a little more spendy then what i wanted (prolly 180-200 for all spacers and hardeware) this cost will go down if bulk or group buys occur
  5. do you have any idea why i can post pics smaller then 50mb?

this is the first time if had an issue

  6. ive used the vw adapters on two gl cars one i put over 100k on, the other about 40k they worked well, no ill affects, i got them at a vw/dune buggy shop in portland are pug nut better? prolly, did these work, yep-paid about 25 bucks for all of em
  7. for some reason i cant post pics- i can email someone the pics - and tehy can host them, but i can put them up right now
  8. i wanted a spacer for the struts on my 91 legacy and i came to the realization that no one made these parts for the rear of early legacys i had already lifted teh car using forester struts, and trailing arms, but needed just a little more to take advantage of the large tires i had. so i contacted a local machinest and he got started. the prototype set was finished this after noon, and installed on my car. it is 1 inch thick HDPU plastic i had him machine reliefs in the bottom so that the longer studs could be bolted on, then the spacer installed i used 1 inch longer then stock studs, and still had room for my strut tower bar in front the rusult was a gain in one inch, an no negative affect on camber at all these will fit all 1st gen legacy wagons and sedans. the front pieces will fit all subarus newer then 1989-i think install took 2 hours with air tools these will be availiable soon for sale they include all 4 spacers, all hardeware, and instructions they will be cheaper if bought in bulk, but right now the material is expensive in small quantaties
  9. i instaled forester training arm mounts, took 20 mins for both, immediately corected the caster issue, and i run big tires too, so i needed it
  10. make sure you get wagon seats if you have a wagon, sedan seats if you have a sedan the rears are not as plug and play as the fronts, but are do-able
  11. i just put 07 seats in my 91 GD said it, pretty much all ej series seats will transfer over, pay attention to the height though if you a tall person
  12. hey man- i noticed your in kalispell- im looking to move there. how is it right now, ive been in the summer. any suggestions as to where to look for work?

  13. 91 legacy 5 spd awd 351k- original motor, trans, and diffs
  14. thanks tom- my machinest is bringing a pre production piece over today for a test fit, before he sets up teh mill
  15. ok- thanks you-7/8 inch will be the first run...cause we got a deal on the material but if there is enough interest- we can make them whatever you want
  16. thanks guys, we are all aware of this, for example, i already have forester struts, and springs on my 91- this is about strut top spacers-debate over
  17. that may come later, at this point, we are offering a product similar to subtlesolutiuns.com spacers but we are filling a void in the market
  18. hello- some of you may remember me looking for saggy butt spacers for my 91 legacy, there are none as most of you know. it was either a full blown 4 inch lift like SJR sells, or re drill your towers in the rear to accept other legacy struts. Well -im working on a solution that will satisfy the others that are simply looking for a little ummpphh for larger tires, a little extra ground clearance, etc. ive contacted a local machinist-and we are making strut top spacers for the first gen legacys what i want from yall is- what sizes are most appealing for you? i plan on offering a few sizes the first run will be 7/8 inch spacers, and longer studs-for the front and rear. this will lift all 4 corners material is 6061 t-6 aircraft grade structural alluminum i was thinking maybe a 1/2 size, and a 3/4 as well. what does everyone think? when i get the first run i will post up pics and install on my 91 please let me know what size you would be interested in, and what you think a fair price for 4 spacers and a set of hardeware is
  19. like i said-i have a shop in pdx, im a former alignmenet tech, ill help you out
  20. that is why i suggested the subframe shifted qman- it would have opposite effect
  21. i have shifted a subframe about 1/2 inch before, thats why i suggested it, it resulted in camber specs as you descibe. i went the the wreckers, got new bolts, pulled it back, and had it aligned.done
  22. it sounds to me as though you shifted the subframe over, im in pdx and can take a look for you i also have access to resonably priced replacements if needed
