  1. good to know, i generally install canadian specs on customers cars that fail
  2. in the US seat belts on these cars move when you open the door, and automatically close on you when you shut the door, you guys have standard fixed belts. we generally do not like them as they are unreliable with age, and they bug some people. i dont mind, as mine work well, and its impossable for me to get a seatbelt fine:grin:
  3. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=115812 BIG GRABBER AT2S SEEN HERE
  4. well, today i cut off the pevious giant wing nut latch, and replaced it with a toyota pickup tailgate latch, way easier to use
  5. i put it in both spots GLOYALE, but that spot works best, also, as a truck driver, im trained to use mirrors as we have no back windows. i put customers wherever they want
  6. awesome, that car was too good to die then- glad it lives on
  7. i used a 3/4 grade 8 bolt and a giant wing nut
  8. 1k pound hinge, 1.5 inch DOM tube, 215/75/16 destination AT on a WRX wheel
  9. i bought this a few months back from the original owners, they drove it nearly 100 miles a day since 1990 it has 344k on it, original everything, runs and shifts perfect, its a 5spd awd since ive had it i lifted it a few inches on forrester GR2 struts, and trailing arms put 225 60 16 mts on it, with painted forrester wheels i put a trailer hitch on, flowmaster super44, and a cold air intake i also tinted the windows and added the roof rack its my daily driver, and gets 25-27 avarage mpg. this is my 18th subaru, and the cleanest by far, love it:banana:
  10. gotta love the LGT wheels! also a young woman that can yeild a wrench- good job! is your car a 2.2?
  11. my daily driver is a 92 legacy wagon 344 k, original motor, original 5 spd. still getting 27mpg also have a 92 loyal with 612k on original motor. been rebuilt once

  14. i inspected the belt- its in good shape, wires replaced this afternoon has 169k on it, getting an intermitent code for cyl 2 misfire im betting the belt was fone at 105, it is a subaru belt
  15. forgot- all grounds have been cleaned. and teh CEL flashes eery now and then
  16. hey guys- i want to pick a few subaru brains here. 2000 forester 2.5 sohc auto idles great, runs great- but while driving, if you accelerate, or come to an incline, it stumbles, acts as though its out of gas, if you let off it goes away. typically its at its worst between 1500 and 2750 it has- new plugs and wires, new air and fuel filters, new pcv, ect everything sensor wise is clean..... cat was replaced a few years ago- 02 sensors replaced a few years back, she says less then 20 since then ideas?
  17. i just bought a 91 with 343k- runs like it just rolled of the showroom floor. looks like it to- the ej22 is hard to hurt. the tranny on the other hand.... i used to have a leggo with 395k, sold it to a freind 5 years ago, he came over to put a clutch in a few weeks ago and it sits a 615k now, properly maintaned, these cars will go forever
  18. a birdy told me you made spacers fot legacys. i have a 91 wagon that would love some 1 inch spacers. do you have em? if so how much?

  19. well-give me a call at 503-333-1251

  20. is that a toy axle? if so, your going to have issues with overheating if you run it upside down like that. the third members do not have adequate cooling vallys if run upside down. of course these issues will only be present at speeds of 35 or faster. also , alot of guys drybox them- fill the whole diff with grease. or you could try to overfill it with oil.... just an obsevation- good luck
  21. the ashland oregon police has a subaru legacy turbo undercover car- its like an 05 or so
  22. i agree with tex here, i built a hybrid as he described a few years back, 438 wheel horsepower (there where ALOT of supporting mods) but it was a very drivable car
  23. i had a 94 loyal wagon, lifted 2 inches, 27 inch all terrains, 5 spd, non turbo, consistantly saw 42mpg in it, but i would get on teh highway and not pull off till it needed fuel, i had a 362 mile commute. the larger tires effectively acted like an overdrive on the hwy, reducing rpms at a given speed
