  1. ok, that would be perfect- if its complete ill take it man!!

  2. hey- do you have any other ea82 lift

kits around, unpainted, whatever. as in cheap?

    thanks

  3. ive seen the GM trans behind a subaru... that was cool, 8 second wrx or something like that, the guy is local, crazy:slobber:
  4. so i was thinking... i used to have a 1992 legacy wagon with an auto, the 4eat died a horrible death as most doo- so i pulled it and took it to a trans shop to be rebuilt. when i got there- the owner of the shop said " ah- a pathfinder , huh?" to which i replied, "no, subaru" he says" oh, same thing, same tranny" he indicated that the trannies use many of the same parts, filters, bands and clutches, ect. this makes me wonder if it would be feasable to use a pathfinder trans in a solid axle set up to gain a true t case, ect. just thinking out loud. hell maybe you could pull the tail housings off and apply the nissan tcase...
  5. scott-have you thought about making a way to lengthen or adjust the rear trailing arms, to aliviate the issue with the tires in the tub?
  6. i have a factory transmission gear chart, both are listed as 4.11s with hydro push clutches. and all foresters came with an ej25, as did my outback...so in my mind its a swap- but as ive stated before, im an ea expert, not an ej
  7. i have a 2000 legacy outback wagon- with 4.11 5spd trans. it took a superpoop i need to know what other transmissions i can put in, obviously must me another 411 5spd- but for example, a 99 forester 411 5spd- direct swap? im aware that they have different 1st05th gear ratios,i could care less- as long as it bolts in, throws no codes, and i dont need to modify axles or drivelines. please help asap- my car is down and i have small subie enthusiests that need to go to school
  8. i never really got into 1st gen or ea81 cars a whole lot- so my knowlage on compatability is limited, but none the less- working on an 81 brat, 4spd d/r what other ea81 cars came with a d/r? i need to replace the tranny ASAP !!!! THANKS GUYS!-Dan
  9. hey lonnie, havnt been on for a while, sorry- lots of work and a new baby.

i can help with the brat tranny if you still need it- call me at 503-333-1251

  10. no headgasket issues yet, i did a little research and youre all right, obw struts are the same as forester. so looks like king springs for me
  11. any updated pics with new tires? i just purchased a 00 obw and it needs the same btw, how did you clear your signals?
  12. Well folks, finances forced the sell of a few of the greats (in my mind at least) but i am back in the subaru world now, and quite pleased about it i recently purchased a 2000 obw it is a 5 spd, sohc 2.5, and an lsd rear it had 90k on her when i bought it she is baby hauler, wife mobile, (oh ya, while i was on my usmb vacation we had a baby boy) anyway, here are a few pics of the car i want to lift it 2.5 inches or so. forester struts? dont remember what those do here-dont really want to spend 900 on albies kit, even though he does live down the street from me. i dunno missed you all-well most of you
  13. vf11 on the leggo tdo4 on the wrx they are the same flanges intake requires some moding on the tdo4 but i am confident that you can do it i suggest a vf22 or vf39 a td04 isnt much of an improvement try a 16g or 18g also go check out legacycentral.org
  14. i used a set, with 215 70 15 bfgs, on and off road, for over 60 k miles no problems. i would suggest you find pugs, but to answer your question, yes, it can be done
  15. glad to hear you made it man, i doubt the pump is bad...they dont do that often....the rack on the other hand is a more common problem-and can cause the pump to evacuate fluid. make sure you replace it with anothr rx rack, or upgrade to the xt6 when you do 5 lug:headbang:
  16. thanks for the comments, i wasnt sure how the lights would turn out but i like em...the police do not:banana:
  17. i made a 1/4 inch thick steel frame that the lights bolt to, and then it bolts to the bumper beam....so far steady enough
  18. it is the only black ea82 interior ive ever seen as well. i think subiestyles rx coupe is black but i havnt seen it in person, i do know its not all that common though.
