  1. i just finished this exact swap-a forester i/c or 06-08 wrx i/c is perfect, and im using the 2.2 ecu and harness..it all works lemme know if you have more questions
  2. when i bought my 94 ss both sway bars where bent and broken-as well as both rear struts....someone jumped it....high:eek:
  3. i did it- on my 86 wagon, and i put a 205-70-15 (26.? inches tall) bfg t/a on it-a good sized tire-not a skinny one, it mounted well, balanced out well, and im happy to report that they have 45 thousand miles on them with no bending, or warping. the car was taken off road, and even jumped a few times. no bends is this the best way to go? no, find some pugs-BUT to answer you question, yes it can be done, it works, and well. just not the best option in the land of roo good luck-crawlerdan
  4. the same thing happened to me, i wanted to buy a complete 91 turbo sedan at a wrecking yard, they said no, so i asked them to cut it in half and sell me both halves, they did it- i got all my parts, everyone is happy
  5. i have a 92 loyal4wd when i fill up the gas tank, it usually only goes to 3/4 tank or so, and then operates normaly. i have yet to see the warning light, even after 340 on 1 tank it didnt show up. what can i do to fix the needle not going to full problem, and is this causing the gas warning light to be inoporative?
  6. so, what i need right now (dr.rx) is to know what i need to keep off of the ej22....intake? harness? um..stuff?? power steering stuff? alternator? lemme know and the rest will be sold really cheap
  7. well im not pos. ive been told it is be several people including a subaru tech., but even if it isnt, it is a semi closed, as subaru always upgraded turbo blocks
  8. the jdm ej 20 im using is closed deck as well but you are right to assume thatin most cases the 22 is more desirable i am using the 20t because it is more powerful in base form, easier to produce high numbers, availiability of parts is phenominal and i paid 800.00 for a jdm legacy front clip!!!
  9. yes i knew about the pump and the radiator for the awic-im hoping that the package i bought includes these items...i hope so as for the year, its out of a JDM 2004 legacy wagon if it doesnt include the parts for the awic, what shoul i use? i was thinking a small oil cooler or power steering cooler, with a bilge pump for a boat......
  10. well i will probably have to be in contact with you in the next few weeks when i get this all started. i plan on using the intake manifold and coil packs that come on the ej2ot along with the air to water i/c that comes with it
  11. i just purchased a JDM ej20t and plan on putting it in my 94 legacy turbo. any one done this? if so gimmie some tips/tricks!!! thanks -dan
  12. well i owned a leone...here in oregon, infact i sold it to a freind in wa. i do know that it was a canadian car originally....
  13. will some one please shed some light on the differances between the vehicle designation? i know that the loyals are a little more modern with the auto belts and ect. but what else, ive owned 10 subarus, and everytime i think i know the differance i get another car that doesnt follow my guidelines, ive also owned a leone-what the hell is that?? looked like a dl base model to me?? where am i wrong?
  14. hmm...well i will have to double check the production date tomarrow, as of now i can only see it through a fence-ill keep ya posted, it looks like the 73-75 body style as seen on the board here
  15. i found a 1974 subaru wagon, its 4wd, and has rally stripes all down the sides. it has a single rear gate, single headlights...looks cool its been sitting for probably 15-20 years, i dont know, im going to try and track down the owner tomarrow. what is it worth?? it needs alot of work that i can see, but is there a market for the car?? if so should i get it and pass it on to some one here to restore? it looks as though its all straight, little rust, and all there
  16. no, we just went and looked at it and im contemplating a purchse...havent got far enough for photoes yet
  17. i found a 1987 gl wagon for sale localy, its white witha blue int. has a 5spd with a d/r trans. so im assuming that its a carbed car? right? anyway, its pretty clean , needs a bath and some vaccuming, has tinted windows, and 80k on a rebuilt motor. owner says clutch and starter are new, has decent tires, as well as a spare set of wheels and tires also in great shape-hes asking 1,000 dollars, thats about all i know my intentions are to buy it and trade trannies with my push button loyal, and resale it-am i going to loose big bucks here or can i break even? if i could break even and have a d/r in my loyal that would be sweet-thanks-dan
  18. well at this point i want to get the car running strong and will address the turbo after words, the tdo4 will support the motor for daily use, and hopefully i can pick up a larger one soon after that to support my goals an 18 or 20 g would be nice but im runnin low on play money:mad:
  19. thanks burton snow man...ill look into the pinkies and see what happens i picked up a td04 with 10k on it last night, so hopefully that will work
