ive owned 109 subarus, this ones weird for sure 1992 legacy auto fwd will not start belongs to a friend, said that it wouldnt start, hit it with starting fluid for a few weeks, and that worked, now that doesnt work ive noticed the following-brand new coolant temp sensor both fans on, all the time, running or not, cold or hot iac valve doesnt look horrible, but..... it has spark, getting fuel. compression is 125ish at all 4 i got it to start tonight- horrible shuddering idle, but all 4 firing, idle at 2k rpm, will restart fine after its warm. but cold start is a no go maybe timing skipped a tooth?.....odd one what thinks the land of soobies:D

It randomly gives a code for the maf, but like I said, its new. The coil is new also. I puled the plugs on both, cleaned and inspected. The ground that was off was the one under the airbox on the firewall. The one near the starter is ugly-ill clean that next. I'm also planning on pulling the crank and cam sensors to inspect

ok guys- im stumped- i have a friend with a 99 outback 2.5 5 spd she had another mechanic completely rebuild the motor, heads, timing, ect. and has been having a problem with the car randomly stalling it happens every 50-60 miles, at no specific time, she returned it to the original mechanic and they replaced EVERY SENSOR!! on the car, everything, o2s, mass air, coil, everything problem still persists- brought it to me, i immediatly notice a main ground not conected, i reconected it, they drove it about 200 miles no issue, then it stalled again, so better....but... after every stall, it will immediatly restart and continue driving no problem. ideas

i hadnt thought about throwouts, or depths i know you can swap an r series input into an ax15, but most people would rather not as for the clutch, couldnt we turn a lrger disc down to the appropriate diam in a lathe? ill look into it more. the reason im thinking this is- i can pick up a whole running jeep cherokee for the cost of an r series
