I dont have pics... but on my wagon, I got fed up with "straight streaming" the windshield... and changed out the factory nozzles for some made by GM *gasp!* Youll have to get a little creative (I used heavy gage mechanics wire and needle-nose pliers to get MINE to point straight) .... but the result was a nicely "misted" windshield of washer fluid.   3. B/A makes good stuff. I used a LOT of Beck parts when Darlingchip and I were building her brat. Pretty much anything made in USA is good to very good... and of course made in Japan is tops!
  4. It should screw right out. You can check for operation by having someone turn the key to "ON" (not start) while you listen for a -click- from the valve.
  5. That sucks.... Scrap steel is pretty high right now. I think it is 2 hundred + (per ton) in NY state.... not sure about down south there. A non-rusted out 78 brat should be worth at LEAST 400 bucks.... even NOT running these days. Offer him 300.... get the darn thing titled... and we'll help you get it runnin good!
  6. Cool Steve! Glad I could help. If you have a CarQuest nearby, I just got a SWEET clutch (disk only) for like 60 bucks! It is sold under the Paraut brand name... but it is straight from Japan, and is O.E. quality. Ive had real great luck with Paraut parts.
  7. The outer diameter of the DISK isnt the main "problem" point here. My main question was actually as to the size of the splined center.... If the clutch alignment tool doesnt fit into your old clutch disk "center" .... that means that you have the wrong disk in there now.
  8. Yeah... match them up when you get a chance. An EA82 disk is the "next size up" from where you want to be. PM me back and let me know. :cool:
  9. ....also, did your new clutch come with an "alignment" tool? If so.... that should match the splines and size of the "new" clutch disk that is installed in there now. Go match it up with the splines and size of the OLD clutch disk (hopefully you havent 'pitched it yet.)
  10. if those are indeed pics of your throwout bearing (new and old) .... it looks like they sent you a clutch for an EA82 or XT6 :-\ This is going on an EA81 engine, mated to the EA81 4SPD stick shift tranny..... right?
  11. Steve, are you SURE you have the right clutch? Did you test-fit the splined clutch-disk onto the splines of the tranny input shaft to make sure? You should not be getting ANY additional sound when the clutch is depressed.... especially with a new t/o bearing.
  12. FYI Tim.... my brat has its fuel pump wired straight to an ignition-switched 12V+ wire. Never had any problems. I also have an extra carby-fuel pump and/or fuel pump RELAY if you DO need em.

  16. :clap: :clap: Dontcha just love it? I posted a similar story back when I first joined. Mine was (is) an '83 wagon. Weeds growing out of the seat and everything. Fuji's quality STILL amazes me.

  18. Thanks for the replies everyone! I did indeed get it all apart last night (no sheared off bolts) *whew* The MAPP torch worked like a charm. :cool:

  20. Im on the website now. I used the high temp, because it was a clutch, and prone to high heat.... but Ive been wrong before.
