  1. For the record..... - Connie DID feed me. - I have a leash (darlingchip has that) JK - as far as the "breaks" go..... Im housebroken. (despite popular opinion)
  2. Holy crap! I just checked this thread..... looking GOOD!!!
  3. .....sounds like someone trying to make the best of an ugly blind-date My vote?
  4. Without any cupholders, the person occupying the passenger seat comes in handy for those "hold my beer and watch this" moments I guess
  5. For my brat..... this "back hills of New York" solution worked well. A standard "cupholder" plus a piece of steel that used to hang a stereo deck.
  6. Dang, Sounds like you kids had yerself a good time allright! (congrats! BTW) Glad Rock ran well for ya:banana:
  7. Loyale? I thought all the A/T Loyales were FWD with pushbutton 4WD? You should be running it in FWD unless youre offroad (or in snow) .....and not be getting torque-bind, that is only on the Legacy A/Ts.
  8. Albany...... SWEET! Although, I have yet to do a clutch on my legacy. I dont fear the job per-se (I know I can do it... I have the tools) but I am by no means "experienced" as far as clutches. We should at least try and get a fall get-together going for all us NY/CT/MA/PA folks! Nice to have another northeast member!
  9. UPSTATE? ...Did someone say UPSTATE Where are you located? (Im near Oneonta/Cooperstown)
  10. For a 95 legacy, I just got a quote of 360.00 (labor only) from my regular mechanic. The clutch kit Ive found for about 200 crispy chickens. For 360..... Im really considering doing it myself. The book time says its an 8 hr job.
  11. Ah.... the 'ol "roof noise" Ours used to do it on the freeway at 65+ as well
  12. *STANDS UP* Hi everyone My name is John...... and I own a lifted sube. Its all I think about, I cant help it! *smiles and shakes hands with the group*
  13. Cool! Just the advice I was looking for. My legacy just blew a boot, and I was just going to post this question.
  14. The round thingy is your caliper piston. On your GEO, it has to be compressed back in order to work right. Read all about that HERE >>>> http://autorepair.about.com/od/fixityourself/ss/brakepadreplace.htm On your subaru........ you have to turn, AND compress or you will damage your subie! I think there are photos for this process in the USRM
  15. I had to WELD the area just behind the fuel filler pipe on my brat (where they always rust out) +1 for the wet rag wrapped around the fill pipe!
  16. Wow....... That 2.2 sounds like the route ID go. MUCH better chance of it being good "right out of the box" .....blah blah blah. A 2.5 would rock for sure, but unless I had the extra .....I would be skittish. Very best of luck either way. (I gotta make me a trip to Harrys!)
  17. Dang...... I was gonna buy it if he'd paint it yellow :-\
  18. I love my brat off road and in town..... but at highway speeds, it does well to get out of its own way. I would say spfi or weber for SURE if youre gonna pull anything, ESPECIALLY on the highway
