Propane....or MAPP gas. MAPP heats faster (and hotter) I would'nt get HALF of what I set out to fix accomplished.....were it not for that torch! -
Backwoodsboy's BRAT lift thread! ****W/PICS!****
backwoodsboy replied to backwoodsboy's topic in Off Road
Thanks, I like it too. The lightbar is actually the front roof rack that I stole off my '83 "parts wagon" It fit the brat roof nicely, and was ZERO DOLLARS! -
OK.... lift kit and tires, DONE. Now Im faced with a new problem that Id think is fairly common With the headers sitting lower than the skid plate, I dont dare go into any "extreme" off road situations. Can I cut/weld my pipes back at more of an angle to tuck them behind my skid plate? ....or is it necessary to keep that first few inches straight? Thanks everyone!

Almost 270,000 miles on my '93 wagon (original tranny) It has torque bind (I have since removed my driveshaft for the summer to eliminate this problem) .....and as far as shifting goes, the 1-2 shift is hard, and the 2-3 shift is delayed sometimes. I am *waiting* for it to die, but these friggin cars have the strongest will to live Ive ever seen. my 2 cents -Backwoodsboy

That is looking GOOD! This is also the PERFECT time of year to paint (IMHO) I always end up painting in the summer, and just when everything is nicely sprayed and turning glossy.....a friggin BUG will land in the middle of it and flop all over! This time of year is nice. WARM + NO BUGS! Rocky is lookin purty

*cough* ....back on topic though, that is looking NICE!! Do you think when youre all done with Rocky you can stop by and smooth out some "charachter" from my brat? When Im a little stressed...I work on my sube. When Im really stressed, I dont dare (more harm than good):-\ I really do hope that ya make it to Carlisle:headbang:

I know Im a little far from the city.....but a lot of shops I know have no problem with you using their lifts for free IF youre an employee. If youre not packed full on TIME...you could work part time (evenings or something) changing oil and tires....and have some lift-time to boot! (plus a nifty little bonus paycheck) Just an idea
