I am definitely bringing all my camping-ware (pots, pans, plates and such), and my coleman stove. Im up for cooking some burgers and dogs......or maybe even something a little more involved than that. I hate buying on the grounds.....too pricey! I will buy some perishables once we get down there, and put em all in the cooler. Cant wait!

Its strange that you should say that. I worked as a parts guy for Toyota for several years....and also learned my key-cutting skills there! I can be in a public place....see somebodys car keys in their hand, and think to myself "Yup....thats a TR47 blank" Just scary:eek: -

I happen to LIKE my roof tire, thanks! Folks always wave at me now! I say "how'd ya know it was me?" They reply .... "the tire on the roof" In all seriousness....that is a nice job:clap: I may just have to "borrow" your design for my wagon! -

Ok all you folks using winches, Im looking at possibly purchasing a winch for my 86 brat. Now I figure my brat cant even be close to 3,000 LBS on the average day, and I see all these ATV winches out there with all the goodies (for $250.00-ish) rated at 4,000 LBS! Now I know the old adage..... overbuilt = under-used = longer life But has anybody run an ATV winch? Or do I need something beefier? I also dont want to weigh down the front end of my brat, or lighten my wallet too much Opinions? Thanks!

Ok..... Last summer I hit something with my brat, and broke an "ear" on the EGR manifold where it bolts to the head. The two bolts that hold it to the head are strange, and seem to be larger than 13mm......but a 14mm is sloppy. There are also "TORX" slots in the center of each bolt. I cant get a socket (even if I had a 13 & 1/2mm) straight on the bolt heads, because the lower flange of the EGR manifold sticks out too far! Im thinking that this must call for a "special" subaru tool? My crappy but enlightening ms paint diagram can be seen here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/data/954/MANIFOLD.JPG Thanks for any help!

Darlingchip and I have a campsite reserved, so there will be some extra room if someone needs it...(we only have one tent) I myself am a camping junkie, and I DO have my own coleman stove/frying pan and whatnot (which I will bring with me) Paul...great call on Waffle House! (Jessica and I might even stop there friday night when we get into town....I hope she lets me anyway:grin: ) I vote Waffle house for breakfast, camp food for lunch, and a dinner out (we always hit the middlesex diner at Fall Carlisle.....GREAT food!)
