  1. Not to jinx you, but I would be willing to bet the rod bends at one of the welds... since the steel has lost some temper from the welding there.
  2. Its ok Rob, Neo is just being his normal self. We'll fill you in at the party. Neo : Thats NOT what I was referring to.
  3. HOT DAMN! Robs Coming?! Im THERE! Edit: Jess and I will bring the chicken (cook it there this time) and maybe some tater salad...
  4. The repair on these is kind of like the repair (or replacement) for a blown axle boot. If the boot is trashed (but the joint is ok) I change just the boot. On the other hand... sometimes its obvious that LOTS of crap has gotten in there (or the joint is on the way out anyway) In that case, change the boot and joint. Other people (mechanics also) say there wont ever be a better time to change the joint.... and do em all at once. I dont always see the need.
  5. My thoughts exactly. I have said to a few... I know people will contunue to attend the show, and thats fine. Im not here to convince people to NOT attend the show. I just dont have any desire to go back there with my truck after getting thrown out for bull$hit reasons at 10:30 at night. :-\ My vote... is that we toss around ideas for some common ground where everyone could gather, and do our own ECSS. Obviously, Carlisle is just NOT the place.
  6. The rings will need to match the pistons. 25 over was the largest oversize subaru offered IIRC.
  7. Myself and several other on the board here have assorted parts that most likely can be yours for various prices. Push rods I have Brush guard... hmmm Jumpseats I dont have for sale but others do.
  8. I tossed mine this past spring. Wish Id done it years ago. I regularly drive my brat at 75+ on the interstate... no problems. I regularly wheel my brat... no problems. Pitch the bar!
  9. I have the idea the feeling must be mutual. Congrats on getting all the $$ back! I thought for SURE they would have deducted a BS fee (and a turfing fee)
  10. Sweet shots! 3rd from the top is my new desktop background. The wheels look GREAT!
  11. Hows that any different than normal? All the wires looked to be in previously untouched condition. No breaks in the insulation, and no internal wire breaks. Continuity checks always came back good wherever I tested.
  12. Hey Neo, Sorry to hear of your trouble. Jess txtd me today and told me. Id let you borrow the shop press... but its 200 lbs! If theres anything I CAN do.... just ask.
  13. Teh hotness! Actually, having just rebuilt an engine myself, I can really appreciate how much work that was. Very nice looking finished engine!
  14. Subaru has 3 "shapes" that are available in multiple part #s. 16546AA10A & 16546AA090 - These two are (nearly) identical to each other. 16546AA12A is the same style as well. All are square 16546AA080 & 16546AA020 are the short rectangle shape but the 080 is much more expensive (with better filtration) Then you have the long rectangular style that is only available in the 16546AA07A They all have different "flow" charachteristics... I think Subaru is "overengineering" their filters
  15. Ugh. Now its official. 20th is out for me. I have to work. Boss changed the schedule again.
  16. Is there another date that will work for everyone? I dont really wanna make the whole trip to south Jersey by myself :-\
  17. *computer voice* "I think you said... get rid of Brandy" +1 for the rain!
  18. If Jess and I come, we will bring the brat (duh) ... and do jumpseat rides through the mudpit for all that dare EDIT : June 20th works for me too!
