I was told that the eye was for off roading on the 4x4 models and passing on the front wheel models. As for off road it fills in those dark areas just in front of the car so you can see what your about to hit:banana:

Hi Don, I agree with the other guys on venting and muffler mods,I do not think an oil cooler will work unless you canput some air around it. You might be able to add a motorcycle radiator as a pre-cooler to the front of the trike in addition to what you have. Also a clear photo of the rear of trike with the body on might help us help you Don

On my BRAT the green plug and the blue plug in that area are to reset the EGR valve timer. If green and green are connected and the dash light is on switch to the blue one(about every 50,000 miles) It's just a reminder light to check the EGR. -
With all the posts I've read I a little confused on what car I should strip the old brake parts. If I am right to convert my 86 BRAT to rear disc I should look for a 85-87 XT turbo 4wd right guys? Thanks for the help in advance Don

flat stock might flex to much, try square tube instead. if you don't want the light coming thru the fun tops put a flat sheet about 4" or 6" inches long under the light facing fwd (a shade if you will).

pb blaster for me on nuts and bolts, but if you want to stop rust on sheet metal use osfo. (short for osfuric acid) -

If the vacuum lines are dry or cracked, replace them they cause all kinds of headaches. -
The center light is for off road use to fill in that dark space between the head lampswhen the high beams are on. The wiring diagram is good but radio shack no longer sells the ten amp switch.just a differant 3 amp dpdt.

Just about all the subarus are the same from the back of the front seats forward(not justy) same model year. If your search goes like mine, you will find many. Grab the first one that's in good shape. Change the color later.
