Because I have kept the parts over the years I've owned 2 rusted out 84 turbo wagons. and the touring wagon was a stock turbo car I got out of FL. with a thrown rod so, I swooped in a xt mpfi N/A motor and ecm 3 years ago I wrote a thread on It. I just want to know any one else thoughts about it. The motor will be a 86 hydro low mile short block with 84 turbo heads and intake It look like all the sensers on the intake will switch for the ones 89 turbo intake oh GD the ejs I've owned were almost new mile cars 2003 up and when I had them they were under warranty the first one happen while I was in college 04 and was working at a subaru dealer at the time it was a 03 wrx wagon I take better care of my fleet of cars than most people you will find for that matter I've been drive my rx turbo for 11 years I know what I am doing right now I own 7 subarus all running from a 76 FE coupe to a 91 xt6 and thats not counting the almost 30 rust buckets I have on my farm thats what normally kills subarus here in the southeast they were cheap 4wds were drove in salt, snow, mud, dirt roads and NEVER WASHED my family has own subarus since 1974 I know how to fit them the new ones just aren't as good as the 70s a 80s

has anyone done this before I am thinking about building a motor for our touring wagon which will be a hydro ea81 WITH TURBO HEADS so can I use the FI the wagon already has I know the injectors are in the heads on the ea81 and in the intake on the ea82 but using the ea81 intake and changing over the senors and engine harness will it work? I'm tried of the ea82t and have all the parts I think to build the EA81 I am asking about and I AM NOT EJING THIS THING OK SO DON'T ASK I have luck out ej cars owned five and have all leaved me stranded water pumps locked, tbelts, bad heads, crank keyways its ea81 mpfi or ea81 spfi

I have a wrecked xt6 with 37,000 miles I got for almost free thats why i was thinking of the swap but if i have to cut the car up it is not going to happen our touring wagon is just too nice for that so i guess i'll just rebuilted the Ea82 xt mpfi non turbo motor i have to run as strong i can
-
what will it take to do the swap i don't want to cut the car up so if that's involed i am not going to do it
-
it runs when gas is dumped in but i think we figured it out nasty plugs at the injectors now it sounds like its running on 2 cyl. when i crank it thanks
-
First off its been sitting for about ten years so we cleaned the tank out changed the fuel pump and fliters new battery and so on still no go it has fire is in time has fuel to the fuel rail 13.08 volts on both pins on the injectors but no run oh the led light is not flashing on the ecm i can't figure out why but the fuel pump still cycles with the ing. switch on could the ecm be bad if so what years will interchange? 85,86 turbo maybe

maybe your right i don't know but its odd thats all i'm saying by the way the center lamp does work and the winch is the 5000 pound northern tool has with a home made remote control. oh for the record if any one wants to keep a stockish look the stock bumper ends fit the 4in channel bumpers i made that way the local law don't write you up on bumper laws in TN when is finished. The bull bar and roll bars are moded copies of the stock ones i made their made from 2 sc40 cold roll for the bull bar and 3in sc40 for the roll bar if any one needs help in my area make their own i 'll be gald to help

non turbo 5spd d/r with a custum made front ring gear (made it at work on a hc160 mazka mill) with a mod. lsd pack from a 300zx nissan the rear is all subaru r160 from a outback i think with rx lsd in it so,the Lo range and all other gearing is the same

Maybe its a factory odd ball thats my kind of luck anyway. the reason I'm going to keep i this round is its almost rust free and thats rare on the east coast
