Hmm. One of thoes was a single port 1400. But I thought I had pulled the heads off it and it was a wet sleeve. -

Non of those 1400 I got from you were dry sleeve. And non of them were good either. Thats why I ended up putting the 1600 in my car. What did the dry sleeve 1400s come in? I got one in the coupe, but I have no idea of it's condition or if it's wet or dry. -
Thanks. I wish it was mine, I would make alot faster progress on all my projects. But at least having acess to it is good enough.
-
Hell yeah! Whats the point in doing it again if your not gonna make it bigger and better? It'd like evolution.
-
Pretty much the same idea yeah. It was pretty cheap and now I know why, I gotta modify a little just to make it work the way it is supposed to. :/ This time around I built the t-case brakets right into the subframe of the car with extra rienforcments. The t-case mounts are old jeep control arms, figure there good enough to hold a front end in they should work for a t-case. I still gotta tie em together with a wrap around skid plate support so it shouldn't be going any where.
-
An excellent question. It's the disc for the t-case mounted e-brake. I just havent mounted the caliper yet.
-
Wow. I can't belive it's been that long since I posted or really did any work on this thing. Either way I brought it in tonight and started going at it again.

Take one peice of wire and shape it like a smiley face, that will be your positive. Then take another peice and shape it like a frown, that will be negative. That's what I do, it works pretty well. -

Hold on a sec! Does your rear glass have a defogger grid on in? I think that might be a rare factory option switch. It looks similar to the wireing for 72,73 rear defogger. -

Ohhhh. Ok. I missed the part about the switch. Now that is really weird. I can't imagine that switch is factory. It would be a pretty odd place to put it. I'm gonna say you probly dont need it. But tell me this, is there a light in the dash for when the e-brake is on? -

Well that little brake proportioning valve is also a safety switch. If a front or rear line blows out it blocks of that circuit so you still have brakes, and it trips that switch and lights up the warning light on the dash to let you know there is a problem. -

Well that would presumably be the brake fail warning light. Although i can't get it to jive with any of my diagrams. It's the only thing that makes sence. -
Ah memories. Rust in Peices wagon you served your duties well.

Ohh. On second look at your pic there it seems even the 1400 radiator would be a tough fit. The length is gonna put you above your front cross member space, and at that point the hight will be to much. Not to mention the side mounted lower hose would make this really tight. -

13 1/2 is from the bottom strip to the top of the radiator cap. The lower mounts stick down about another 1/2 inch and then the mounting pins stick down I'm guessing another 1/2 inch below that. I just measured it in the car. The top mounts just bolt thru the top strip. You could easily cut the lower mounts off and bolt them thru the strip as well. In guessing on of these is gonna be your best bet. -

13 1/2 x 26 1/2. Gen 1 1400 radiator. That's the overall dimensions. Keep in mind the lower hose comes strait out the left side of these radiators. So you will need enough to loop the lower hose around. -
Underside surface rust?

Ive had good luck with the por15. They have an etching fluid that also rezincs the metal. So far its working great. That monstaliner looks like good stuff as well. Might have to check it out. -
