  1. Nice find you wagon scoring bastid. So you must be looking to unload that split gate now huh?
  2. Yeah sounds like a date to me. Anyone know how to grill corn? I'll bring the corn:brow: Shouldn't be big deal to rip out the motor and hit from both sides and drop it back in, lets just make sure we will have everything we need to compleat the job........lots of beer.
  3. Yeah, yeah OK, so I'm gonna have to make it down there one of these days. Is it just the camera or is that BAJA missing the lower half of the bumper?
  4. In the end it's always worth it but........... Never do the math!!!
  5. Great time guys, even my wife had fun (I told her she would:grin: ) It was great to hang out with everyone again and to meet Andrew and his wagon:slobber: Connie is coupe is sweet, it just needs an EJ22T swap and very little body work to be perfect. Nice find!. And don't worry Paul, the coupe will steal the show next time. Let's do it again!!!
  6. Hmm? Good idea! Shouldn't my BRAT have a PCV valve somewhere?
  7. Sounds like a plan, Lets go on a Sat. and I'll destract the sales men by doing AWD NOS donuts in the parking lot wile you rob the parts. Maybe we snag the 360p.u. too.
  8. A funny thing, the body man we have at the shop right now used to work at a Saab/ Subaru dealership in the early 80's so he has even had the joy of rebuilding a few 1400's. He's fun to talk with but not sure he could tell YOU anything you don't know.
  9. Yeah, my main goel all week was to make my BRAT a little more plesent to drive down there.....and I haven't got a damn thing done Awell, I'll still bring it. See you guys Sat. What else do we still need?
  10. I just drooled on myself:slobber: Hay nobody told me we were having a meet the wagon meet this weekend? Tail gate wagons rock, so how does that rear bumber thing work, is it spring loaded or something? I WANT TO SEE IT!!!!!!
  11. So we gonna do this guys? I need to know if I should be getting my SVX ready for drag racing or my BRAT ready for another trip down south?
  12. Thats the plan, like you said I have a feeling next year will be huge for the vintage Suby crowd. This year we are still getting them sorted out and apperently alot of us are a litte to buzy:rolleyes: But I think we should all make a commitment to be ready for next year with all our cool vintage rides. The rest of you have a good time, I wish I could be there but I'll catch you next year.
  13. Yeah, back when I was a newbie, I was taking one of my first trips in my first car (85 BRAT) and was braging about how I could shift on the fly into 4WD. So my freind wanted to see it so I pulled the lever up in the middle of the city (bad idea) and it started to bind and stop moving. I pulled into a parking lot and damn near had to jump on the lever to get it back into 2WD. Thinking back......I know it had different style tires front to rear.:-\
  14. Well I'm suppost to take the SVX drag racing that day but.......maybe if I decide I don't realyl feel like breaking anything I'll just come down and hang out with you guys instead. Besides I'm suppost to go drag racing in NJ the Thurs after Mem. day, so I think I'll wait to blow it up there so I can be further away from home.
  15. Mickey the dunce? Is that Pauls un Subaru knowleged bafoon alter ego?
  16. Hardest driven was my first second gen a 77 BRAT, I picked it up for $50 and had top weld the pass door back on befor I could start driving it. I bought it to drive through the winter wile I did a EA82T swap on my 81 Wagon. I drove 80 mph everywhere I went. I never had a pass side window and the heater sucked. It had a high topper on it with a plywood back window. The rear shocks were so shot that you could slam on the brakes and the back end would come off the ground. After I got the wagon done I continued to drive the BRAT, but I torched out the wheel wells to clear 235/75/15 tires mounted on donut wheels bolted on backwards and I welded the rear diff. Shorty after that abuse I was fixing something in the shop one rainy night and as I went to leave I tried to slam the drivers side door closed and the window shattered all over me. So now I had no side windows, big holes in the floor and I couldn't open the doors anymore. I finnaly stoped driving it on the road and used it for a few mud bogs, including jumping it. After that it served as a dump truck around the shop for awile, untill I sold it to the cleaning kid to use as a feild bomber around his house. He eventually had carb problems with it and had it hauled to the crusher. That BRAT was a testament to the durability of Subaru, even in it's delapitated rundown state it could still kick rump roast, and still get like 400miles to a tank of gas.
  17. Sounds nice. Anyplans to put a set of seats in it anyway? Most of all the BRATs have them cut out by now so even if it did have them you would probly have to weld another set in there. Did you decide on a color yet?
  18. White, black, or rally blue. Nice ride, where did you find it?
