Early Gen 1 Brat GL series Q&A
Subafreak replied to Skip's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Looking throu old manuals and from the ones I've seen, I don't think the Gen 1 BRATs ever came with a tach dash. I think the tach dash ws only availible in the hard top or coupe. -
Tell me about it:rolleyes: Paul, you called and tolled me not to bother on Sat. But it's good that you did becouse my youngest decided to get sick later in the day and had me up all night waiting for him to throw up again, not a good night. And Sunday I had prior engagments to fix my dads car, it was getting preety ruf. This Sat is no good for me either, I'm going to a sweedish death metal show with my freind that day so I'm not even sure how usefull I'm gonna be on Sunday:slobber: BUT......One of these days.

Well I have been informed that the Carlise meet will be one to many weekends away from family this year so I'm afraid I can't make it. I didn't really have anything to bring this year anyway but I just wanted to hang out and watch the sun rise under the tent again (awsome memory) So anyway, drink a few for me and I WILL be there next year hopefully with one of my Gen 1 BRATs. BTW: How are you doing with the tent reg? If you need another reg to get a tent just let me know. And have a good time guys.

Hay, yeah, you should have called, but I did have to help my farther inlaw move stuff in the middle of the day, but I probly would have headed down there right after. Yeah I want to get that BRAT stripped real soon after Reading, get rid of some cars around there. Don't worry the dash is still covered, altho I have thought about hitting it with some Armorall many times;) Yes, I drove the SVX home today, not quite finnished but enough that I can drive it around now. To tired to call now, but will bespeek sone.

Yeah, your probly right...this time:) Unless by some devine intervention I get all my prodjects togehter by then I think I'll have to hold out for now. I'm still up for a shop night thoe, just let me know when you guys are gonna be there again. Hay I'll let you take the Loyal......when you buy it.

Does this meen I need to get my Loyal running? But really if I take another trip befor April my wife will kill me, besides I'm not sure I would have the time anyway. I would be up for a later date, that way I might have time to patch up the Loyal and get it out there. Gee if I'm really lucky maybe I can sell it when I bring it out there.

Nice! I just got a 93 Imprezza for free! It's got 300K on it and still kicking. I sold it to my freind many years and 100,000 miles ago with a rebuilt tranny and a 125,000 miles old EJ22 under the hood. He put 100,000 on it and onlt did brakes, tires, and one axle. Everything else is 300,000 miles old on it. Awsome! It was suppost to be blown up, it was overheating and skipping real bad. turns out it just had a bad T-stat and coolant in the plug holes, (SCORE!) I'm gonna give it to my sister-inlaw, so we can stop playing taxi for her. As far as helping out go's, you know I'm in Moose. Even though I told my wife no more buzy weekends untill the SVX meet in April, you know I should be able to find time to sneak away again. Also I got a box trailer with pleanty of room to....um...STORE....you stuff for you.

Nice! Funny thing is I don't think I've driven mine since you got yours running good. No heat!
