  1. A funny thing about right hand drive cars: I had drive and had to align a right hand drive Legacy, it seemed to speed up when turned to the right and slow down when turned to the left, I thought there was something wrong with it untill I drove a few GM Postal LLV's They do the same thing, must have something to do with the road crown. Wierd.
  2. I'm having the same problem with my Loyal after only a year of sitting. Now I remember what I needed from you Paul.
  3. Dude? Like you don't know where to go for a Suby motor? I got an EA81, EA82, and EJ22 all that you can have. You know where to pic them up.
  4. Damn! Sorry I didn't make it down but I was buzy on my own. Any closer to the gole of clearing out the shop? Check out the 6 speed thread in General SVX babble on the network to see some SVX/6 speed coolness and what I was buzy doing all night.
  5. To tired to talk. That hoods mine:) Oh yeah and the rear bumper.and the door handles, and the ........................... Tail light trim? OK. I'll get the drive train out too then.
  6. Just a heads up, I might be tearing into that 80 BRAT on Saterday. I wanted to be finnishing my SVX but it's not looking like I'm gonna have my parts "AGAIN":banghead: So If the other three things I got to do that day go well then I might start ripping apart that. You want that dash and visors out so you get them to your new storage area? How about the motor and tranny? When do you need to ship them out?
  7. Show off:rolleyes: I know, I know, I still gotta check on those door panels for you.
  8. You call that clear space? If I'd known you were taking interior shots of the BRAT I would have put on my other WRX pedal cover.
  9. Thats was a good time, now I know why people drive from all over to hang out at a storage place. It was fun to meet you Connie, and thanks for the heater I drove all the way home with it in my lap, and not much antifreeze. Good to see all you others again, what a bunch of crayzies we are. My ride home was fun, some guy flipped his Civic off of a barrier in the passing lane, and right when I got to the Goldstar my exaust broke off before the muffler, I thought a friggen wheel bearing exploded it got so loud so quick:eek: Anyway can't wait to hang out again.
  10. Somewhere I got an 4wheel and off road mag from 80' or 81' comparing the BRAT and Chevy Luv. It was a cool artical, I need to dig that back up. I also have another Off-road mag with a picture of a Gen 1 BRAT running in a tough truck competition.
  11. This thread remides me how much I need to stop trying to sell my Loyal, and instead be trying to but it back together.
  12. Hay, I can give smiles with service too. See. Besides if I don't get rid of my stuff pretty soon I'm gonna be the second Subaru church of resurection.
  13. If you can hold out awile I should have some brand new fenders commin to me. I wish I knew about the hood befor I let the RX get monster trucked:rolleyes: I got lots of doors if you need some. And alot of other crap that I'm trying to get rid of. Let me know what you need.
  14. Cool, what year exaclty? My first Suby ever was a Grey 85 BRAT. Witch of course means sometime down the line (late 50's?) I'll have to get another one ot relive my teen years.
  15. If you do and you can hook me up that would be cool. I sold that Loyal I had and am just trying to hook the guy up with a windshield.
  16. Doh......You got a windshield for a Loyal Wagon? Not that I'm gonna come pick it up but you know when I want it.
  17. I'm with Paul that is horrible. please P.M. your number. You BRAT is way to good to let go and you can bet we will get it back together for you. Don't worry about it.
  18. Wow all this remides me so much of when I got my first car. It was an 85 BRAT and it was the best first car any kid could ever have. After breaking 3 CV shafts and bending a stub shaft doing FWD take offs I converted it to RWD and then the fun really began. Like everone says these things will burn tire all day espessially with a front E-brake and low range in a BRAT. The whole thing was flat black with little slits in the marker lights to keep it leagal. It had grates and screen over the headlights, plus a brake light kill switch and small driving lights for those "lights out" situations;) This thing was seriously a legend in it's time, I still get asked by people I hardly knew from highschool "what happend to that BRAT you drove?" It was on the town police list of vehicles to pull over just becouse. (might of had something to do with that line lock I did in front of the cop) I did get to use the evasive features at least three times to avoid the cops. AND! I almost forgot the best part! It had a big channel steel bumber that stuck a foot out in front of the cruck. I used this to take down everything from trees, to election signs, and even to move other students cars out of my parking spot. It was the bomb. Funny when I first started reading your thread I thought "stupid kid:rolleyes: " then I remembered what I did. Does this mean I'm getting old?:-\
  19. OK then:confused: Heres what I'm trying to figure out. My 77 BRAT: 4 headlights vinel seats 78 BRAT: 4 headlights vinel seats silver dash trim 79 BRAT: 2 headlights came with clothseats. Wood grain trim A.C. Never seen one with a tach. From looking at the 78 owners manual I have, it looks like only the Hardtop came with a tach. And I guess in 78 there was no GL. There was an STD 2 door an FE coupe a GF hardtop The BRAT is listed as (Open MPV):-\ Everything else is just a DL.
  20. I suck, never made it. Didn't get home till 3:00AM Sat night/ Sunday morning and still had to get up at 8AM to pick up the kids. I don't think I could have stayed awake long enough to make the trip, I'm not as hard core as Paul;)
