Ahh......I'd say even just slapping some RTV around the sensor and sticking it in would work fine. Not like there is any force on the sensor anyway. And for some reason I thought this was on your FWD car....you have to many Legacys! Because you can technically just change the one sensor in the harness that is bad. You can't buy it separately but you can unpin it from the main harness plug and not have to drop the pan or mess with other sensors that are ok........sorry I just realized what you were talking about. Lol.

Documented: The 1970 FF-1 Project car...
Subafreak replied to Kostamojen's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
This FF-1 feels like a community child that we've all been watching grow up and develop, and just as it was about to go out into the world it fail highschool biology and had to stay back a year. Cant wait for the college years!!! -

Didnt some one on here put an EJ in an RX7? -
Well when the wagon had the stock EJ22 it was a dog. The frankenmotor 2.5/2.2heads was a huge improvement. I imagine a regular 2.5 would also be decent.

Door seals/weather stripping?
Subafreak replied to cal_look_zero's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
2004 era ford ranger door seals work very well. There not a full bulb so they conform perfect to the corners without kinking and seal well without making it to hard to close the doors and windows.- 1 reply

Check the clutch pedal assembly, where the cable is held to the side of the pedal box. The pedal boxes are prone to cracking in that area. -
Oh, and as far as material prices go, it's very hard to estimate as most of it was just metal scraps from around the shop. The owner use to buy the scraps from metal suppliers and there was a good selection of left overs.......at least there use to be. Lol.

It's pretty well behaved on road. It takes some getting use to with no sway bars and all but once you get comfortable with it I can honestly say it feels much safer than most straight axle vehicles. As for power it has plenty. The only problem is the EGT,s climb up into the 1600 range if you don't go easy on the throttle like maintaining 80mph up the hills on the highway. A non intercooled 2.2 running 11psi is not the ideal choice of engine for rolling big tires. I think there is an EZ30 swap in it's near future.

Not much. Pretty much what I feared, I got it driving and haven't got anything else done to it other than drive it. Lol. But winter will be rolling in quick so I will be getting something done to it soon. Primarily getting the front axle shafts in it.

Well got it through emissions yesterday so now I can get real plates. Then work on getting the rest if it done. It's just gonna take money is all. Lol.
