  1. With the adjustable camber you may need to design a system that lets you adjust it more as the longer strut will cause a positive camber \--/. The rear camber isnt adjustable on the newer cars. You could use "crash bolts" in the place of the factory bolts, but they suck and will slip, I tried them and hated them. On my Impreza I ended up using Whiteline turnbuckle rear lateral links to adjust camber, This would work perfectly. You could also use a camber plate. The camber plates that come with most coilovers for the front struts will fit on the rear strut mount also. So I bet he could use extensions, kinda like you made. Numbchux made a good point though, the two mounting bolts are "inside" the wheel. You would have to make a extension to the bottom of the strut and then make a mounting plate bracket that goes inside the wheel to the two mounting holes. Oh and nice job on the strut extensions. Looks good.
  2. Ok, pulled the oil pan. The pan wasnt sealed to the case, it basically fell off once I pulled the bolts. Also it looks like there was about 8qts of oil in the engine. How about some pictures?
  3. Thanks AZ. Im planning on taking it off tonight after work. Also, when I say that it was overfilled, the level was most of the way up the dipstick. Its amazing that this thing even ran.
  4. I ran a Bell engineering rrfpr for awhile on my turboed Impreza. It has a dial that you can adjust to vary the amount of fuel pressure rise. It worked really well to add fuel with minor boost increase. Just my 2 cents
  5. oh and my dog already misses the rear hatch...(of my 86 wagon)
  6. Yup its the one from Craigslist/Glendale...and when they said oil leak they really meant it. I got it home just a few minutes ago. the oil is really flowing out of the passenger rear of the oil pan. They had it way overfilled on oil trying to compensate for the leak. Ill probally try to reseal the oil pan this weekend and replace the valve cover gaskets. However the interior is really good and the body looks to only have minor dings. Its a california/arizona car so rust really isnt a problem. I ended up getting it for $250 so I dont thing I got too hosed. If all else fails Ill just say screw it and put my ej25 in it that I have in the garage.
  7. So I went and looked at a 92 Loyale Sedan lastnight. It looked ok so I called him back today and settled on a price. The body is in good condition and the interior looks good also. The only down side is the engine leaks oil...and its a auto, front wheel drive. Supposed to have around 116,000 miles. I have parts at home that I can swap from my 4wd 5 speed dual range wagon, so I would guess that its time to strip the wagon. Anyways, Ill try to add some pictures tonight or tomorrow.
  8. Woops, I guess I really didnt think too much about that. Thanks
  9. ..I found a 2wd 1987 justy transmission for $50 bucks. I would imagine that these are a bolt in to my EA82 right? At least this would get my car on the road for now until I find another dual range transmission(or take mine apart and try to fix it.)
  10. Yah thanks for the info guys, I just stumbled onto this thread trying to find some info to help me with my car...(Im the one looking to the trans). Basically looking for anything that will fit.. It really sucks that I just moved down to Arizona from Washington state. There are NO old subarus around Phoenix. I really want to get my car running, its finally cooled off enough to go explore Arizona. On another note If you do have a transmission drop me a pm. Thanks
  11. Ill drop by tonight and grab that copper crush washer...My work will have one that should work. check out these pictures that I found on Nabisco.
  12. I already have bad ideas about my ej25d that came out of my RS...my gl needs some power.
  13. I havent had one of these apart but on Garrett turbos you can remove the compressor and turbine housing without taking the shaft apart...is the wrx turbo differant? I wouldnt take that nut off without marking locations for balance.
  14. You may have to go higher. This turbo did this at 1bar on a 2 liter.
  15. You mean this turbo... I bought this thing so I could finally be faster than your gl10. Get that hunk of trash running and we will have to go to speedworld for some Subaru destruction. (t04s compressor housing machined to use t67 compressor wheel. Innovative turbo systems dual ceramic ball bearing center section, stage 5 t350 turbine wheel. dual scroll turbine housing.cant remember ar size.) beataru
  16. Id be careful if I were you...I heard the guy that owns that thing is ex-Navy seal or something. I should be getting my new turbo this week...Howabout putting my Garrett t04s on there...Giddy Up
  17. The heads will bolt on fine. The dohc heads have a smaller combustion chamber, this will raise your compresion ratio. I dont know what the sohc head cc is but the dohc is 46.6cc. The cam signal should work also. You should be able to correct the compresion ratio with thicker headgaskets, cometic makes good ones.
