  1. my 83 was doing 10000rpms the other day it handled it fine. not on purpose though. get this "this might actully help some one some time" but i was mudding, i was in about 3 to 4 feet of water and alsuden i let off my gas but its not stopping so it keeps up the rpms till i shut it down and kept doing it. anyways to keep it short we were messing around with stuff and i took out my super muddy filter a bam no more. so actully the vaccum created wouldnt stop cause it had no where to pull it from but its self. if it makes since. anyways lesson learn.
  2. man i thoght this thread was about women. but actully i would have used the stock jack and jack the car up and stuck something under the tire like a spare tire. it has helped so many times.
  3. that thing rocks! i just found my strut hanging around after being high centerd yesterday it was kinda wierd but makes since of the noises i heard but man it would be much easier to manage with something like that. i did jump my car about 5 feet in the air going about 40mph right after that, hehe. it drove away umharmed. i wish my friends would have taken pictures.
  4. carb. choke and how would i fix it? is that the part with the coil spring in it?
  5. ok so my 83 gl10 is running great. buuut ever since i got it running good. it doesnt start in the morning at all. i can come home and it will start right up not even pump the gas. the morning i try and try and nothing. any ideas? it was low 40s this morning. :-\
  6. a lesson i learned about digi dash. ok so i have a 83 with a digi dash from the week i bought it, it had problems like not reading things correctly. but anyways the first week i bought it i took it to show a friend and turn the ingition on and beeeeeep. i was like wtf. so i tried on off and all that. i ended up taking the whole cluster out and the trip computer fried a resistor and i mean fried it looked like it caught on fire.. so i just unplugged it. but then i didnt get a read out of anything but temp. i didnt relize it looped so just to let u know it has to have the plug for the digi dash to work. took me about 2 months to figure that out. it still decides if it wants to display the right speed or fuel.

  8. i got an 83 and i didnt relize that there was any computer operated things on the carb. i was pretty sure it was all vacum. cause im having problems in my low range rpms. i was thinking im have a intake manifold leak cause i have checked all my other vacum lines. so anyways maybe u can help me out on it. i have an hatachi carb.

  10. u cant make fog lights that will actully work in the fog with led. u could make driving lights. the best bet for most output and little draw r HID.
  11. i would recomend the relay straight from the battery to a flip switch plus a push button. which is what i have except its not straight from the battery im gonna do that this weekend cause some where the wire keeps messing up in the harness. i have it setup where the key will still not allow any power unless on, i never turn it off. i just get in my car flip a switch for ignition and push a button to start. if u want a picture its pretty self explanitory.
  12. i was at the u pull it here in medford/white city. and they had a loyal with 4 headlights instead of the plastic composite. if any 1 is interested i could find out how much. or u could call them.
  13. it says my 83 gl10 4wd didnt have power windows or anything else power. i have every thing power even the power mirrors even though i never seen anything to adjust the mirrors.
  14. awesome! i wish i could have gone. did u see the pics we got u guys muddin? o and my car is runnin barley any more some wierd vacuum leak or pluged or something.
  15. its a hitachi. that valve i think its talking about is the canister? but not really sure. i dont know really where to start. should i just start pluging things off?
  16. i drove from medford which was 400 miles on bad hub bearings "been bad for about 2 months" then 4x4 and some muddin. i decided i was gonna go no matter what and i had faith in my car . had some problems getting it going from mt hood to medford but now its not running since i parked it at home. im not sure what, but something is wrong with a vacum i think.
  17. its an 83 gl 10, its plugged into the anti after burn valve. thats what it says on my hood.
  18. thanks GD for a good honest answer. because im stuck and its not running really any more even though it ran awesome all the way home 400 more miles. now nothing. im gonna just try different things not sure what but something lol
  19. ok so im lookin under the hood at the diagram and its all hooked up like it should be but still if i hook that hose up it misses bad. it goes to the intake manifold then to the botton tee on the drivers side. could something be plugged? could i just plug up some vacuum line to eliminate the problem totally? hopefuly to fix. anyways some ideas would be good. thanks
  20. i had shifting into 2nd and reverse problems especialy when down shifting. so i did what i thought would help by putting fully synthetic in. its an 82 tranny and man it took about 2 months to get the full result it barely grinds anymore.
  21. just havin problem with a certain line. ive got to have 1 in the wrong spot cause when i hook it up it misses. so i took some pics of the line and where im hooking it up that makes it miss fire "theyre circled ", then i have overview shots of what maybe some one can identify whats hooked up wrong. need more pics just ask. :-\ http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?ppuser=18363&cat=500 cant figure out how to post big pictures
