wow ok, so what does this mean? were gonna be breathing smoke the whole time?

i hope a 93 wouldnt have a positive ground system, but he could be right if thats the case run new speaker wire. but im pretty sure if it was nothing would have came out. who knows till u do some checking. if u dont know what positive ground is, its a old type of wire where they used the same ground for the whole speaker system "its just 1 big loop"

update my car is running good! for now. so i guess the compression tester i used was fcked up so i used another 1 and all pistons have 120 psi, wierd huh. well were think that there wasnt compression to 1 of them because of carbon build up and was just knocked loose. so im gonna put some top end combustion cleaner i guess it works mircales and really pisses off your neibors when u fill the neiborhood up with smoke. oh and what was keepin my car from good was my primary had mud in it! haha i suck no but really i rock.

u have a speaker wire short for sure. u can tell because he subs still played which mean the amp on the deck to power the speakers died. usually new cd players have a protection for this. but what u need to do is take all the speakers out, when u pull the speaker out do it slowly so u can look in the back of the speaker and see if any wire r touching metal either on the speaker or the door. or you could take a 12 or 14v battery for a drill take the speaker wires at the deck so theyre exposed and start at the first speaker by taking the 2 wires touching them to the battery and all of a sudden u will hear them pop "poping is good" but dont hold it on there. if 1 doesnt pop then its dissconnected or blown which can fry a amp. hopfully that all makes sense. i had a very long night. gf and i drinkin to much=trouble

custom sub boxes?

digital design nice.... but really u dont need to seperate the subs it just takes up air space and it helps a little on the flexing of the box and i doubt your gonna use huge subs. my advice is find a sub that takes about a cubic foot of air plus has good reviews with a low price. also the stuff that goes in a goes in a box is called poly fill its the stuff they use to fill stuffed teddy bears "awwww", the point of the stuff is to keep from resinating, canceling or distorting the sound its suposed to make in the box. hes also a tip dont use ports it will require a much bigger box and i personaly dont like it. "im not 16 any more". if u make your sealed box a little bigger your sub wont req as much power to make it move. "not much bigger like .3 cu" -
impressive and it looked pretty fun. 1 day ill go to aussie.

ok so its starts off i was thinkin i had some spark problems so i pulled some wires while the car ran and found on the drivers side it didnt make a difference when pulling either 1. soo i then did a compression test and figured out my #1 piston didnt have any compression and the others were about 100. anyways i still drive it daily and it seems wierd but it studders alot until it warms up which doesnt take long at all but still not a whole lot of power then at about 3500 rpms it just takes off like a new car cant tell anything is wrong with any cylinder. ive brought this up a little before but i was hoping to figure out what going on overall it kinda seems like a few problems. thanks

custom sub boxes?
WheaT_BeeR_MaN replied to BlindSight's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
well just as long as u get the spec on the sub req cubic feet and u do the right math plus having them fire to the rear. L*W*H/1728= cubic feet. dont forget the displacement of the sub oh and make sure your box is not square put an angle in it. take your time measure twice, cut once.
