Because of the position of those "hood scoops" they are going to act as VENTS instead. They are right over a low pressure area in the hood. So they are actally going to be venting hot air out rather than stuffing more air into the engine bay.Sorry. If you wanted a "hood scoop" it would have its opening toward back and as close to the cabin air intakes as possible.Right at the windshield is a high pressure area so that is why the intakes for the cabin are there.Same with nascar intakes.

why did you get rid of the buggy roo?
-
If it breaks will that drop the car or would it just make it so it cant be adjusted ever again?
-
I suppose I will just take an impact wrench to the adjusting bolt then..what happens if it breaks?

Bust out the 10 lb hammer.

make sure to tripple bag your weed in the bed panels so cops can't smell it. Same with the space in the Gen 1 steering wheel. I have a wagon put I will probally be making it into a brat.I need something to cover the holes in the cargo area that are normally covered by plastic paneling....the wheels are turning...even if they are in 1st gear lo range(sammmy low not subaru low...)

My front settled and now looks like its lower than the rear due to the body lines. although looking at measurements under the skidplade and rear diff its higher than the rear. Is the clearance under the rear diff supposed to be more or less than the front diff?
-
so than use an air gun should get me to 10" under the rear diff? When do I know when to stop? after the back end on the hatch was cranked up what was the clearance under the rear diff before the bigger tires? I am still not sure because I was using a small tire iron and it wouldnt budge. When it is cranked up all the way does the rear end sit level with the front?
-
how do you take pics of your car when out wheeling?
-
I cant turn the rear adjusters up very much than I guess.I cranked it up and gained an inch in the back. With no lift in the back I am at 16.5" from the hub to the top edge of the fender.I dunno but something tells me it should be more. That and I now have 9" under the front skid plate and 8" under the rear diff? doesnt seem right. unless the back end was lower than the front for some reason...I thought that the clearance under the rear diff was normally higher than the front? My springs must be shot look what I found "4wd Station wagon GL: 8.3" with adjustable suspension up to 9.3" so then with a two inch lift it puts me .3" less than what stock should be maxed out WTF. Although a friend does have some 235/75/15 all terrains I can have for free. Now to find some 15" 6lug chevies...

got the front in, although the camber on one tire is a bit wierd.i will see if it settles after i drive it around the block. to crank the back up which way do I turn the nut?I am trying to turn it clockwise looking towards the front and it is very hard.I am using a tire iron and I still can barely get it to budge.I suppose I could try a breaker bar as well but this is rediculus. How fast will it eat axles?
-
I am trying to do the two inch tube lift.I can't seem to get the strut down far enough to get both blocks on.This is an EA81 BTW. I was able to get one block on(the one towards the front but the back one I cant even get the block anywhere near the stud in the strut. Am i supposed to undo more of the suspension to get the clearance or what? How am I actually supposed to get the block in?

How much horsepower can a rear LSD either from an EA series car or a legacy hold? I am looking to push about 300-350 HP through an IRS rear diff with a limited slip... if either diff isnt up to the task anyone know of a cheap rear diff for an IRS setup that would work?
-
it could be done but then the door wouldnt latch, because you would have cut the latch out. it could be done if you were willing to cut and reweld the door latch (and fender) to the new location. the edge of the door is at the inner fender edge...

Banged up Loyale...potential off-road project...

just put a 6" round driving light in the now vacant space and call it good for an offroad rig. Then just find some more argressive tires... -
I meant beater as in door beater, or rocker panel beater, or tree beater...Is there a straight panel on that car?

some night pics with the car off. http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n45/Uberoo/Subaru%20stuff/?action=view¤t=allnight.jpg http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n45/Uberoo/Subaru%20stuff/?action=view¤t=sidenight.jpg in comparison to my last offroad rig: http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n45/Uberoo/Subaru%20stuff/?action=view¤t=4torches.jpg The two lights was all I had around at the time, although I suppose I could get off my a55 and go to my storage shed( 5 blocks away) and pick up a set of lights for a baja bug...Then I would need a bigger fuse, and maybe wire in a relay...right now it just takes power from the battery to a switch then to the lights...and find some black spray paint because the other lights have a chrome housing...chrome on an offroad rig, yuk...
-
the wire goes between the seal and the door around dash level, then it just snakes it way up the gutter.

So I just installed two lights on top of the subaru. There is room for more but give it time... They are only 55 watt so there is no point in taking a daytime pic with them on.Its a really freaking bright day... http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n45/Uberoo/Subaru%20stuff/?action=view¤t=lights.jpg http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n45/Uberoo/Subaru%20stuff/?action=view¤t=ears.jpg http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n45/Uberoo/Subaru%20stuff/?action=view¤t=wiring.jpg
