  1. ew.... i got a 3" mandrel bent U shaped pipe from summit for ~$20. im gonna have that chopped in half, and ill put my cone filter on the end where the stock airbox resonator used to be. i should be clear of the fluid resevoir. looks to be a tight fit as far as the turndown from the MAF. i suppose its hard to make a short radius bend with 3" pipe. my main concerns now are supporting the pipe, and trying to ensure that i wont suck water in.
  2. im putting another vote in for the silverstars. very bright, and not nearly as expensive as PIAA.
  3. you want the flange that mates up with the turbine inlet, correct? chances are you wont be able to just find the flange by itself. see if you can find the stock up-pipe from a wrx. you can hack the flange off and toss the rest. check ebay, or post something on nasioc or i-club. most wrx owners ditch the stock uppipe for a non-catted aftermarket piece anyway.
  4. also says he did an engine swap... Major Upgrades: port and polish, nitrous, engine swap, bore-increase
  5. ill bring 2 or 3 cases of soda and the wrx. hopefully i can get my rump roast out of bed early enough to come help you set up.
  6. what did you do about your washer fluid reservoir?
  7. registration to view a thread? bah!
  8. you wouldnt happen to be bringing any 'fast' with you would you? the buggy needs quite a bit of that :-\
  9. youll probably get a better answer if you ask in the new gen forum... btw, why cant you use your current gas tank?
  10. us ea82 guys are pretty hard pressed for parts when it comes to performance suspensions. afaik, kyb gr2's are the only aftermarket strut that bolts in, depending on your body style. ive been sniffing around for bolt on suspension stuff too, because im not able to fabricate stuff.
  11. Take Lots Of Pics!
  12. iirc, Z32s with the 'hikas' (not sure on spelling) system work the same way. hydrolic piston in the rear controls the steering.
  13. garage space eh? are you going to get a lift?
  14. whats what? and whats the advantage of the 2.5rs diff? is it split 50/50 like the wrx?
  15. right on my train of thought! it should join up with the rest of the exhaust farther downstream.
  16. do cookouts involve paintball guns? oh, and what do you need to do to the rx to make it driveable?
  17. id probably bring the wrx down. i cant seem to find out where this damn vacuum leak is on the buggy, and i might have an exhaust leak... not so concerned about that right now, but i do want to fix the vac leak or whatever it is before i drive it any great distance.
  18. if thats what i have to go through to get rid of all the slop in my shifter, i think ill just live with the slop!
  19. sounds done to me! good job on the install too! i might have to use some of that diesel radiator hose too, looks easier to use than hardpipes & expensive silicon couplers.
  20. hmm... i can only drive one car! which do you want? the buggy or the wrx?
  21. at least you went out in style!
  22. compression braking is whats slowing the car down when youre downshifting. at the exact moment youre downshifting and rev-matching, you arent dropping speed, but as soon as you let the clutch out the deceleration of the engine will slow the car.
  23. theres a company called techworks engineering that makes an ea82 header. do a search for TWE, you should find numerous posts about it. im confused if they produced a version that lets you bolt a td04 to it, i know there was a lot of talk about it.
