i know skip made one for his wagon. he let me test it out, pretty nice i must say. i think id be happy with chopping my shifter after i get rid of all the damn slop!

how long ago did you install the wires, plugs, etc? i had a cavalier that misfired due to a faulty plug wire. it only happened after the car warmed up. the dealership overlooked the plug wires the first time i brought it in. (it took 2 more trips for them to figure out what was wrong... they should have replaced the wires in the tune-up performed the first time around.)

i cant find this freakin thing... i took off the 4wd plenum, looked in there and the TB, nothing out of place there. i replaced the AAV hose because it looked kinda nasty, that didnt do anything. clamped everything back up tight... still reads 11-12" of vac on the boost gauge...

love the dew support! whats the piece of pipe connecting your ic to your TB? is that part of your old oem intake pipe?

ive become aware that i have a vacuum leak. im getting 11-12 in/hg at idle. i guess its been there for while, just didnt really notice it. the car idles kinda funny, seems like theres no low end at all. it wont stall at idle. i tried to look over the hoses as best i could, but i didnt see anything out of order. i sprayed some carb cleaner, that didnt do anything but make my engine bay a fire hazard :-\. i think my next step will be to try to blow some compressed air into the intake, and spray some soapy water on the engine bay and look for bubbles if i cant find the leak with suggestions here. are there any spots where i should look in peticular for leaks?

Installed MBC and now too much boost....
nkx replied to TheSubaruJunkie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
this is what i have, think i paid about $90 for it at a carshow last summer. $69.95 on summit. -
i took the buggy to a professional to finish up my rust repair. i hacked out most of the rust with a dremel and an angle grinder. i used a stripping/polishing disc on my angle grinder to make short work of getting the less nasty surface rust and paint off. my body guy welded new steel in, smoothed everything out, and primered it up for me. looks as good as new, minus the spray bomb job i did myself. oh well... the paint is only temporary.

i have one of the small TurboXS units, im quite pleased with it. i think it says its only good to 10 psi, but i think it varies car to car. once i finished my intercooler project, im gonna crank it to about 12 or 13 psi. -
interesting! i always wondered about that. so if im normally running between 4 and 6 bars, my coolant is between 250-350 degrees max?

The insulation under my hood...

im not even sure my hood came with one, and if it did, i ripped it out. -
THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NUTS!!! too bad we wont be getting our hands on one anytime soon.

$60 if i pick it up. ill be putting it on the buggy, so i think ill have to slightly pause my intercooler project.... moreso than it is now :-\ until i can get new measurements. i can get a TD04 too, i just have to upgrade the turbo on my rex first

i wish you had posted this earlier! i was just working on hardwiring my fan to a switch this weekend. all i need to do is to install a switch, and run the wires to it from my relay.

would my oil pump have this same port? i have an 89 gl-10 with the digi-dash, and i want to put in an oil pressure gauge.

is it possible to bolt impreza stuff on the rear? ive been thinking about doing this conversion for the suspension and braking upgrades. i dont think theres a whole lot of performance handling and braking components out there for ea82s except for GR2s in the rear and the occasional stainless steel braided brake line. :-\

woohoo! im getting a vf-11!:banana:sorry, i just had to tell someone!
