  1. my intermittent causes the wiper to move a lil bit, stop, move a lil bit, stop, etc... but it takes forever for it to actually complete a whole up/down cycle. is this the same problem you had?
  2. yeah, theres a light by the little car diagram on the IP that says 'turbo' after you start making boost. and the diff lock light will appear in the center of the car diagram, but sometimes it take a bit for it to engage. you have to be driving kinda slow, in a straight line.
  3. use a holesaw (2"?) to drill up through the bottom of the bumper, and then a 1/2" hole i think to mount the lights. the metal plate under each light acts as a big washer. it provides support to the lights as the plastic skin over the bumper and the styrofoam under it isnt very good on its own.
  4. if need be, i could find some sleeping arrangements for you. carlisle is 15 mins away from me.
  5. could you be a bit more specific? i looked at that website, and it seems like its another useless "search" site that coughs up cgi-made links.
  6. im guessing that thread was for an impreza installation. is there a write up on this for our cars?
  7. i bet that would fit pretty good in the hole where the buttons for the trip computer thingy used to be! i should look into that...
  8. RRFPRs are kind of a bandaid. its used instead of upgrading your fuel pump and injectors, however i can kinda see the usefulness of it on our cars due to the lack of high flow injectors.
  9. i really need something like this, but i just dont have the money for it.
  10. i wanted to make a new intake pipe to replace the piece between the maf and the turbo inlet, but theres too many other hoses going into it! this pcv system looks overly complex. it looks like the pass. side vents in after the maf. the drivers side has hoses that go from the valve cover to before the TB, after the TB AND it looks like theres a hose coming from the tranny? all that before finally going into the intake tract. i know theres another small hose that goes into the intake tract, but im not sure what its for... anyway, is there a way i can simplify this mess while still keeping it somewhat legal for inspection?
  11. i really like the idea of the ea82 hood with the scoop BUT all our intercooler jobs are custom. the hoodscoop might not necessarily be in most effective cooling position for each individuals needs.
  12. whats that thing on the side? is that a hanger or something to recirculate exhaust gas?
  13. hot damn! got my recirc valve! now i can spend even more money i dont have fitting up the plumbing for the intercooler... :-\ oh yeah, almost forgot to ask: is there a gasket that goes between the wrx IC and the wrx recirc valve?
  14. how did you get those off, thealleyboy? i thought they were part of the unibody. im taking my wagon into a shop to have the holes where i cut out rust welded shut.
  15. hmm..... and theyre made to work with OE rotors? ie: they arent going to warp things because they get really hot?
  16. i stripped everthing rear of the front seats in my subaru . theres a few pics in my photo gallery where you can see how little is left in there. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=2228
  17. "The way most ECU overboost protection works is by monitoring manifold pressure through a pressure sensor. When the readings go too high, the ECU stops pulsing the fuel injectors. On the Legacy Turbo, this happens when the ECU reads a pressure above approximately 28 psia for longer than approximately 3 seconds." since we dont have a factory MAP sensor, we'd be better off going with MS, right?
  18. i was thinking about spraying mine, but im concerned that spray paint wont be very durable on wheels. the pugs are gonna be my 'street' wheels so i want them to look kinda nice, i might get them powdercoated if the price is right...
  19. im the local guy, so if anyone needs help with directions or anything, gimme a shout. hopefully i can get the buggy in this year. i still have a lot of projects that im working on and i would like to have at least a lil' somethin to show off
  20. if its a drop in filter, you just replace the existing one. if its a cone filter, youre going to have to remove the airbox and get a mass airflow sensor adapter so the cone has something to clamp on to.
  21. custom fuel rails and injectors!
