  1. i know i'm going to butcher the spelling of it but it was Tekala just sound it out. she's friends with pooparu and she done took my parking spot
  2. it's all good, you have given me my fare share of free decals. if you really feel bad, my yard looks like crap, or someday i may need a kidney. PAY IT FORWARD!!!!!!
  3. see that's was my idea too. i'm not the only one thinking outside the box
  4. i'm trying to do some measuring and i need to find a 1st gen impreza radiator to borrow. i can come pick it up and drop it back off to you. portland area would be nice. thanks
  5. around 06 wrxs went to a 3.7 final ratio just find you a 4.11 legacy rear end and the tranny, bolt in bada bing bada boom and Albies allied armament monster wagon uses a stage 3 clutch for a GL and he has never slipped his 300+ horse power he has. is not very streetable but its an option
  6. when ever you get a chance that would be great. i am on the search for a impreza tranny now
  7. well looks like i was right on the money for counting teeth. and would have to assume that they used the same gearing for all the first gen legacys. after reading the tranny chart one more time i found my second choice for a tranny, 95-97 1.8 impreza awd trannys. they have the second best set of gearing behind the outback, but i know there are tons more of those laying around then the outbacks.
  8. thanks that would have gave me something but even that is wrong. i was able to take my number from my tranny and put it in google and find that it was from a 91 legacy. so just to really know i cracked the case open and started counting teeth. 1. 3.545 2. 1.947 3. 1.366 4. .972 5. .738 these are way higher gearing then i was hoping for. i still want to find my perfect tranny, 97-99 legacy outback, but everyone wants an arm and a leg for them.
  9. i'm looking for gear ratios for 1st gen legacys awd trannys. i have the large tranny chart that is floating around but it doesn't cover anything older then a 94 in the legacys. anyone know where i can get a chart for the ratios, like 1st-5th kind of ratios, i know they were all 4.11, i just need to know more then that.
  10. i would head 26 all the way to seaside then head north nice drive shouldn't be to bad that early in the day.
  11. no idea and no way to find out. it's public auction and anyone can come. maybe keep an eye out at the local u pull its, LKQ aka foster auto parts and u pull it buy from these things all the time.
  12. so then with this and a xt6 5 lug hub i could have normal rear brakes on a ea82?
  13. well i rented a set from schucks with their tool rental program. basically you buy it and then return it so it cost you nothing. and with how frequent i will be doing wheel bearings that will do just fine for me. it still didn't cover everything, i still had to take out the hammer and the big sockets but it's all back together now i just have to put it back on the car.
  14. no salt out west here. i did have a nasty old hub in my garage that took apart to see what was involved in it. with some big sockets i was able to get everything apart and didn't seem to crazy. what is hub tamber kit? i will probable do more in the future so having something other then big sockets to do it with would be nice.
  15. i had all the calipers and rotors off so there was nothing to drag. this was right on the "tube" that the bearings reside.
  16. to late the sale was last tuesday. i don't want to know what happened to it, i'm sure not good things.
  17. well guess i will be swapping to a new rear hub that i got laying around. how crazy is it to change bearings in these.
  18. so i have been working on my legacy getting ready for WCSS and have been tracking down a rattle in the rear end. After taking off the rear rotors and finding that was my noise i just happen to touch the hub after running it for a few mins and it was pretty damn warm. for the hell of it i grabbed my temp gauge and one side read 130+- and the other side was reading 80+-. does this mean my wheel bearings are shot or can this be marked up to just normal operating ranges. generally when i have had wheel bearings go they start making noise to let you know to replace them. Is this pre warning sign to bearing noise?
  19. crap not what i wanted to hear. guess i'm going to pull it and put an open diff in it's place, wont be as fun but it will get me to the WCSS. then i have till the Wild West to get it all figured out. Gives me till the end of September. thanks ed
  20. i just got my clutch LSD mounted in my car and the thing sounds crazy. it makes all sorts of rattling clanking sounds and as far as i can tell it's just coming from the plates and spiders gears. my next step is to take apart the LSD and see what's going on in there.
  21. check this out for an option about the trailing arm bracket. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=86178
