  1. That's cool you got a spot to keep her safe from the salt, but it's also sad that a subaru needs to be put away right before the snow comes. And this is why I love the west coast, i'll take rock chips over rust anyday.
  2. This is why I was going to wire it so if the AC is on the second fan would be running all the time. then if the AC is off the single fan would do all the cooling which is more then enough because that's what they put on non ACed stuff.
  3. That's what I was hoping. I am wanting to set up a dual fan set up using the the power that would be powering the single fan to turn on a set relays to turn on both fans. That or maybe I will leave the one electric fan alone and set up the other one to operate when the AC is on. Yeah now that I think about it that's a better plan.
  4. Now mine doesn't come on all the time like most AC electric fans in other cars. It seems to only come on after sitting for a little bit running like it is more ran just from the temp switch. So in a since I answered my own question, I was more wondering if with the AC off will the fan switch on if it got to warm. And true I could try this myself, but some how I dont think they would want me running outside and playing with my car while im at work. crazy i know.
  5. I have a 92 loyale and it has one electric fan and one mechanical fan. I am wanting to get rid of the mechanical fan and posable add a second electric fan. My question is, is the single electric fan only operational when the AC is on or is it solely controlled by the temp sensor in the radiator.
  6. Yeah I saw you posting in the group buy about that. If I decide to go that route I will check into the diff shim. And when you say diff shim you are meaning this right.
  7. You were right they stopped making it this way and went to the top mount only. Guess to many people were cranking them all the way out and breaking them. I did a little whining and got a set though. And he gave me the drop plates from the moderate lift also, so now I have a range of 3"-5" of lift in the back to pick my ride hight. And do my rims look fricking awesome. Got a white set for class and a black set for bad rump roast, now soon, it all comes together.
  8. so rather then having it adjustable like they said it was it is just the drop plate now. Well I am going to ask them when I go pick up my rims tomorrow.
  9. That's what i think i got was the moderate lift, but i ordered the high lift. Oh yes the impact will be my best friend too during this.
  10. Ok that truly helps. But one more thing, they claim that the back is adjustable between 4" or 5" how would this work, it looks like every thing on the back only has one place to mount. Or now that I reread the discription, I think I got the mounts for the 3" rear because it says that the 3" uses a lift at the top of the shock where the 4" uses something at the bottom of the shock and is adjustable to 5". Well I am going out there to pick up some rims from them so I will take it with me and ask. But input would still be cool if any one knows.
  11. Ok I'm going to be a complete moron and ask for help IDing what parts go where. I got a EA82 high lift from Allied Armament and I get where some things go but still am drawing a blank where the other stuff goes. So please help and no laughing. A. goes on top of the front struts B. ???? C. ???? D. ???? E. Goes on top of the rear springs F. ???? Thanks for any help.
  12. Cool I'll be swinging by Tuesday to snag these. Thanks a lot.
  13. ok not on a suby but a buddy of mine got one on his motorcycle. Its an Oregon plate So it goes like this, OREGON DONOR Ok I'm done back to work now.
  14. http://www.autoblog.com/2006/03/29/subaru-planning-diesel-models-for-2007/ here was something i found
  15. i just read something not to long ago about subaru making a diesel motor. It didn't go into to much detail but hell they haven't not made a boxer motor since the justy so one would assume that it would be one also.
  16. in 99 they went to a SOHC design and fixed thier headgasket problems. The motor didn't lose any power going from DOHC to a SOHC both still rated at 160. But still the best motor ever is the ej22 buts thats just my $.02
  17. thanks for the input, i dont think it will really matter, I was just thinking if it was an easy swap I would do it.
  18. I just picked up a 93 Loyale and it does not have the oil gauge and volt gauge because it all changed in 93. Can you put an older gauge cluster in and will it all work. Or would you have to change the oil pressure sender or something like that.
  19. WOO HOO just picked mine up today looks great. I still am lacking the most important part. The car. HAHAHA Well soon I'll find me the one I have been looking for.
  20. just go VW diesel, thats one of the more popular swaps for the Samurai
  21. So what if we were going to pick it up? Are we last then?
  22. man i was waiting for the email saying they were done. i was going to drive out and get mine.
  23. Would be really interested in the base model. If around that price. Couple of things, I would like to have both the LED and buzzer warning, and do they have any bigger screens. I Would like try to use it in my race car and the bigger the numbers the less time I have to keep my eyes off the road. Either way I would still be really interested.
  24. Oh i dont think they are going to burn us. there last group sale went good. well it sounded like that from reading it. i know it's hard to just sit here and not know. but just have some faith that they will get it all done. im sure they will get done soon.
