  1. hmmm...I was going to register this afternoon, but now that I think about it, I'm gonna wait till the 27th...:-p And Scott, don't worry about anything, your family and their health/welfare should definately be your priority...
  2. And I'll bring the corn and banana's:banana: (where's the dancing corn smilie????) Someone want to bring some meat? or should we just visit a local pasture??
  3. Sometime in the next two weeks I'll have an empty trailer from Lancaster, PA to Cumberland, MD when I go to pick up a parts car. Anybody need anything transported between those areas?
  4. I broke the nipple on the end leading to the cannister.
  5. It leads to the evap cannister. So, if it doesn't work, the cannister doesn't get purged and the vapors vent off??? Or are there other problems? I fixed it by cutting off a short piece of tubing that fit inside both plastic pieces.
  6. I was changing the thermostat on the '89 3-door coupe today, when I was reconnecting the vacuum lines, I broke the plastic nipple on the valve/sensor/switch?? directly behind the thermostat housing. It has the 1" long "L" shaped vacuum line going to the branch mounted to the thermostat housing and proceeds to the canister by the radiator. It has a wire going to it, and another vacuum line running towards the back to the trans with a line T-ing into the intake manifold and another T-ing into the ball vacuum reservoir on the passenger strut tower. It also has what looks like a knob or button on the side. I have it temporarily patched for now, and she’s running normal. I’m just wondering what oddity's to blame on this thing till I pick one up from the yard???
  7. That is the weekend of the Reading SVX Meet, so that will rule out a couple of us "locals" and there is an Autocross in York on Sunday.
  8. Not sure exactly what it is, but here ya go... Ebay
  9. To use it, you just need to find the fuse holder in the engine bay marked "FWD" iirc it's near the passenger strut tower?? It is not meant to tow your Soob, it's only real purpose is if you have one or more tires of a different size (spare). Other than that there is no real benefit to running in front wheel drive unless you want to impress the chicks by chirping the front tires:rolleyes:
  10. If it is going to spend it's life on the highway, you'll see a fuel savings. Around town, I think the lack of power from the EJ22 will burn more fuel pulling away from stop signs and lights???
  11. Actually there are aren't any other Soobs that you can get stuts from without some major modifications. The rears aren't too bad, you need to grind down the spindle where the strut attaches. The front would require the same grinding as the rears as well as welding tabs onto the strut to attach the sway bar.
  12. I've personally experienced both... It can be a pain, the way to check is to mesure the depth difference between the flex plate and the surface where the bell housing mounts on the engine, then compare that measurement to the distance between the bell housing and the mounting tabs on the TC. It will end up taking a combination of wiggling, lifting, rotating and pushing and then it will just sort of pop into place... edit; I just saw that you're in Allentown, I work down there, if you want me to swing by some evening to take a look, send me a PM with your phone number.
  13. Are you reading this Ben??? sounds like a challenge to get your "project" done by May...
  14. Ideally there should be two that match up for the front and two that match up for the back... As long as the center lug is in a range to fit into the strut mount and allow full range of steering, they should be OK.
  15. Unless you are the father as well as the uncle:eek: I see no reason why you can't come to Carlisle. I plan to be there, hopefully one of my cars will be running at the time

  17. If it's that tight, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to grab a spare. It will sit nicely out of the way in the spare tire untill you need it. I seem to recall it costing about $14 at the dealership????
  18. Yeah, they're on 61. Cole is already familiar with them though... Joe, which direction are you thinking, there is one down near Ephreta that Matt "Subeman90" deals with "Orbachs" or something like that. There is also that shop on 209 in Tremont, I know nothing about them, but everytime I drive by the lot is full of Soobs.
  19. You need to get some rear brakes :-p Looks nice man, you got the coolest lookin' Imp in Akron
  20. Both my Legacy and SVX go easily through over 12" of snow, so yeah, I think the OB can handle 10".
  21. I've had that same problem when sloshing around in deep snow, when it melted all was fine... Keep an eye out for the light, but otherwise your fine
  22. Yep All Legacy's and Imp's have the same pattern. Generally you can't drop the rim diameter (i.e. use a 14" rim instead of the stock 15") or you'll have problems clearing the calipers. You can not use SVX rims, Tribeca rims or 05+ STI rims.
