  1. A few EA82's and a handful of 1st Gen Lego's. No Baja's, but there's a chance when they get one, they'll stick it in the "truck" section and I'll miss it... Most of the Soob's there are 95-99. There is a Brat in New Ringgold. I got the mostly rust free tailgate the other day. I'm considering going back and trying to get the rear half of the body. It's rusty but more solid than mine... I'll check out campgrounds in the Pittston area (between Wilkes Barre and Scranton)...
  2. I was just at Harry's and New Ringgold yesterday. But I'm always up for another trip. For my schedule, the last weekend of April and every weekend of May and June is out for me, so early-mid April is best.
  3. Until it gets back up and running, the old temporary board is still up. http://xt6.proboards.com/index.cgi? "87.5" send me a PM with the username and email address you used for registration on the board and I'll check it out when it comes back up.
  4. If the lego is currently a 5 spd and the FD match up, it will be pretty much of a direct swap. Are they both cable clutch? You may have to move over some of the brackets that support the airbox and exhaust. I'm not sure what year determines a speedo cable or a electronic speed sensor, but either way the hole that they thread into on the trans is the same. So it would just be a matter of unthreading from the bad trans and threading into the good one. May be as simple as unplugging and plugging??
  5. Yeah, they're on the same belt. Pretty simple to install. - If you still have the cover over the pulley's remove that - Tension is controlled by the alternator. Loosen it and use the long threaded adjustment bolt to lower it - Install the belt and use the adjustment bolt to tighten it back up - Tighten the other two bolts and reinstall the cover
  6. I measured where the tailshaft on the 4EAT would have been and calculated that I needed to drop the legacy crossmember about 5/8". I used a couple of large nuts for the front and some square steel tubing for the rear...
  7. I have the MT crossmember from a legacy. I'm thinking/wondering if there is a difference between a Legacy and an OB crossmember??
  8. I'm in the middle of swapping our 2003 Baja from AT to MT. I have the MT crossmember from a Legacy and it seems like I need some spacers between the crossmember and the frame?? Does anyone have a crossmember out of an Outback that they can get some pictures of?
  9. A guy on the SVX board is trying to ID this... There are more pics here; http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=58517
  10. If I understand correctly, the upper rod has pulled out of the lower cartridge? If so, don't worry about compressing it, just jack up the car and it will reach it's max extension without flying out.
  11. Use the "TZ" code that can be found on a label on the bell housing near the starter.
  12. No help on the ball joint, that's the way they get in salt areas. But, if you go to change the other axle, you can get it out by removing the 2 strut bolts. The top bolt set's the camber, so be sure to mark the position of the bolt head before you turn it so you can reset it to the same position.
  13. But when I did a search for "tz1a4zceba ratio" this is the one thread that came up. And now it has more information if anyone repeats that search.
  14. I realize this is an old thread, but I came across it in a Google search while trying to find the ration of a 4EAT, the answer wasn't in this thread, but it is now... http://mmerlinn.com/catalog/lucy1063650/jt_r22/jtr22010.htm This site gives the ring and pinion count and a little bit of math will give you the ratio...
  15. It has 16" stock, I'm just curious which of the set's of wheels I have around would fit if needed?? My grandson's dad is buying this car, it needs tires and I'm just trying to think in advance if anything I have around here will allow him to postpone $400 in tires for a few weeks. Unfortunately I think everything I have that's usable right now is on 14" rims... edit and O., all my sets are Subaru rims, so I'm not worried about the offset.
  16. Quick question. Will alloy 15" wheels fit on a 2000 Leg GT? Steel 15" wheels? And I guess I'm correct that 14's won't fit at all?
  17. A trunk from any 95-99 Legacy sedan will fit. The difference is in the spoiler, most will be wingless and then you could drill holes and transfer your spoiler. The GT's will have a different spoiler, I'm not sure if the bolt holes are the same or if you would have to redrill??
  18. Good to hear you got it taken care of, but for future reference, a 12 point socket that isn't quite large enough can be pounded on to turn the nut off. You may end up splitting the socket so either use a cheap one, or one with a "no questions" warranty. Also, many tire shops have a "universal" lock remover, you can take the car there with 4 regular lug nuts and have them get rid of the lockers. I have heard that some people have had success with a gator socket.
  19. I'm not here as often as I used to be. I have no idea how long since I chipped in so thanks for the reminder. This is what I found to donate; http://ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14367 When I clicked the link in the first post, it showed as "denied access" and I had to log in again? Is that normal? And I haven't had a clean, hole-less "Our world is Flat" shirt for years. I would definitely get a couple. I also like the raffle idea, and the tiered donation. I assume that raffle tickets and shirt purchases would chip a portion into the tier level?
  20. Well this thread answers what I'll be doing on May 21-22... Can you leave the door open? Between graduations and the Dragon, June is out for me.
  21. My cousin asked for my help to replace the lift struts on the hatch of her 2000 OB wagon. I checked all of the parts places I normally use, they all list lift struts for every Legacy generation other than 2000-2004?? Are there any non-OEM options for these?
  22. I was driving through Wilkes Barre and the guy riding in my car pointed out the Forester next to us with "no driver" I've seen a handful of RHD Leg's but this was the first RHD Forester I've seen, but it gets better... It also had a steering wheel on the drivers side  That's right a Bi-Hand Drive Fozzy!! I didn't get a close look at the right side steering wheel, but I saw the stock steering wheel on the LH spin as the "passenger" turned off onto the highway. Did SOA import RHD Fozzy's for the postal service? Maybe a custom job for a driving instructor?
