  1. Here is a self portrait that was taken at a lakeside beach in the Adirondaks in New York. This was during a driving vacation in autumn of 2002.
  2. All the cars are on jackstands (welded steel rims) so you will have easy access. If you need a hand when you go, let me know. It isn't too far from me. I haven't looked at any of them closely, but everytime I've been there there have been half a dozen or so dual ranges there.
  3. Harry's is in Hazelton, PA. Probably about an 90 minutes south of Binghamton on Rte 81. Just south of the Rte 81/Rte 80 intersection. The yard in New Ringgold is Joe's EZ Pull I think. That would be about another 45 minutes south of Harry's. Harry's - http://www.wegotused.com
  4. It's not a 2000 Forester, but, I recently did this on my '97 Legacy. The black triangle trim where the tweeter goes just pulled off. The door is already pre-wired for the tweeters. On the one side I was able to pull the door panel away enough to reach down and pull the wire up. On the other side I had to pull off the door panel to get the wire in place. Plug the wires into the tweeters and push them into place. To remove the door panel on my Legacy there are two screws. One behind a plug on the handle to pull the door shut. One behind a plug inside of the latch recess. Then firmly pull the bottom of the panel away from the door and lift straight up. btw, did you see the thread on the meet at the Pine Barrens? Real close to you and it will be a good time. The thread is at the top of the Old Generation Forum.
  5. Boz, If all you want is the 5 speed, Harry's is full of them. Push button or Dual Range take your pick. Only $50 for a tranny. About the same distance and you don't have to worry about the trailer.
  6. On the floor, at the base of the front seat, along the edge of the bottom of the door frame. With the trunk release.
  7. The cap does look nice, but that damn plastic on the bottom of the body is still just too much! If they would have done it the same as the Outbacks, it would look much better.
  8. Caleb, It's an XT thing, I've seen it and never knew what it was before now. Don't know the answers to the other questions though.
  9. Thats OK Boz, we realize that you are almost 20 miles from the meet. Maybe we can have the next one closer to you.:-)
  10. like I said "some" diagrams... Keep narrowing down the selection in the left column until it list parts and prices to the right. On some items, there is a "View Illus." button. It ain't great, but were not paying much for it either.
  11. This site gives some diagrams, http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=213870 It doesn't give part numbers though.
  12. but out of respect...:-) I better be careful, or you'll get pissed and not help pull me out this time....
  13. Ouch, yeah a little more than mine. I can't imagine that it would take more than a screwdriver to remove the cover. You may have to take off the front wheels to remove the inner fender liners??? If you have airbags it may be a good idea to disconnect the battery before you start digging in. I don't know where the sensors are, or what it takes to set them off, but you don't want to find out. If you can find the right style and color at a bone yard you can probably get it replaced for $40 and a weekend.
  14. EJ, You could always say that you got home late because you got stuck...
  15. It's been a while but I seem to remember at least one of mine didn't have a seperate switch for the power locks. When you locked or unlocked the driver door, it cycled the other doors locks... any one else????
  16. How bad is the dent, and how good do you want it to look? I had someone back into my front bumper and push the corner of the it in about 3" with a dent about 12" wide. I decided to be a nice guy and not turn it in to the guys insurance. I used a heat gun, an inner-tube and a compressor. I attached a hose to the innertube and shoved it up between the bumper-cover and the body. Used the heat gun on the outside of the cover and started inflating the inner-tube. If you look in the right spot and at the right angle you can still tell that something happened, but it's good enought for me.

  18. Get a hold of Tony, "Soobme" he recently started making them for soobs. Brian, "Junkie" just got one and all the photos/details I have seen are impressive.
  19. I can probably make it, I'll bring the "lift" I have along, if it doesn't work I'll help lug it. And I don't drink anymore... I don't drink any less either:drunk:
  20. You may want to het a hold of GravelRX, If I remember right, he does some rally racing in Virginia.
  21. Don't worry EJ, radio or not, we won't leave you behind.
  22. You know what Freud would say about that photo series.... "Nice Car"
  23. Yeah, it's about 20 minutes from here... From 61, turn right on 895 and aftger about 7 - 8 miles you'll hit New Ringgold, kkep going straight through town about another 2-3 miles, it's right there on your right. Can't miss it. Bozz, From 309 you're turning onto 895 in Snyders and coming in trom the other direction.
  24. I'll come down and help if I can. Let me know when it is going to happen. This weekend is all tied up for me, but between then and the PB meet may work...
