  3. If I see a mate of my dads, I will ask him. He worked on Subaru 1400s when new I think in Invers.
  4. That be very fun. Had wanted to do something like that with my Spare parts Coupe.
  5. Theres a legacy in Oz? I think thats fitted with a V12 Toyota block. Be fun if you could do that and some how keep 4WD. I would prefer a flat 8/10/12 instead lol
  6. I haven't noticed that on my RX. Will have to have a good look lol. Did they do the same on the GSR with the S printed on the rocker cover?
  7. Very rare. Never seen one till I got mine. My one the rubber is all cracked from aging and heat etc
  8. I think thats the case. My RX has twin carbs on the manifold then it goes straight to the heads. Not Carb staight to the heads. My RX is nz new but has Japanese writing all over it.
  9. Heres some pics from last week working on it. New Ball Joint New Brake Hoses CV Boot fitted into cv joints etc New Seat Belt Seat belt fitted
  10. Theres so far a long waiting list already
  11. It only heats up in heavy start stop traffic/slow moving traffic, which is very common in chch due to lots of road works/ road closages. Radiator Themo Switch doesent work. So fan currently not working. I will order a new one but a replacement aftermarket one isn't cheap. and Gen Subaru is worse.... $170 Its Cheaper for me just to run a bypass as a temporary / back up switch.
  12. Ive slowly been working on it. Its all pretty much back together. Just need to wire up a bypass switch to turn on the radiator cooling fan. Then I can start driving it again.
  13. Nice Vortex. The pics are a little too big lol If your not already on here join up on the xt forum http://subaruxt.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1
  14. Yes I guess thats the case. or its in Japanese and cant tell lol. I will do some more pics. Just don't have my camera on me. Today I did a little more on it. Pulled out some of the interior, bottem part of rear seat and some side panels to pull out the old ripped seat belt. Also got as far as taking wheel off. Now just need time and good weather to replace shot cv boot on drivers side.
  15. I think its about 290,000km. Most of it is original. There is some spots that have been touched up.
  16. Had a good look today and can't find it. Most of the stickers are in Japanese too
  17. Ive picked up a 1983 RX Leone a few weeks ago. Plan is to tidy up/ restore it. It is a runner but needs a bit of work doing to it. Hopefully mite have it running back on the road soon ( few Weeks ), depending on chance of getting time to work on it. Its a 1983 model twin carb EA81, 4speed manual with Hi/Low. In a grey color.
  18. Nice job you made there. I need a Moustache bumper took, Could rock it on Movember
  19. If i wasn't so extendent with bills etc at the moment I mite had been kean for some spares
  20. Nah I was meaning for these.... http://www.indysworld.com/80s/fun/projectrudy/sheet5a.jpg http://www.indysworld.com/80s/fun/projectrudy/sheet8a.jpg
  21. Wish I could read those articals in Japanese. Ive heard the Dual Carb motor had a bit more power and was slightly better than the turbo motor? But dont know if theres any truth to that. The DC Ea81 RX engine is awesum. Good pulling power up hills.
  22. I have the smaller cap on the GSR. All of mine are pretty rusted so I mite keep an eye on this auction.
