  1. what is this on my subaru 1990 brumby? ive seen them on leones 2. its that steel bit that hangs down. wat is it used for? every one ive seen has been bent and damaged from the movement from that bar in the pics ( sway bar? or something) is that bit needed or can it be cut off?
  2. in my 73 1400 GSR i got 33MPG thats from auckland to chch over 1,077 km of driving. would had got better milage if i didnt get crap gas at 3 different service stations. and also got stuck in auckland traffic. and bad weather with heavy rain and strong wind an few times i got up to 90 to 95ish mph in the middle of no where

  6. lol that wouldnt stop me haha. i would prefer 4wd still. but i used to use my 1600 front wheel drive leone wagon on 4wd tracks, in the snow, towing heavy car trailers with cars on them thu mountain passes too

  8. i would buy the legacy for the son and buy the svx for myself if i had the cash lol. my 1st svx i brought was cheap highish miles but was good in tidy condision. the prevous owner forked out munny for the auto to be rebuilt and full auto fuild flush. its nevers let me down. never had probs with the rear bearings
  9. i dnt have it yet for my gsr... but when driving it back i took the miles an litres it used between most of the fuel stops on the way
  10. sweet i was wondering bout that. cause of the info i been reading up for them they say uses for motorbikes, boat motors, lite aircraft but didnt say about car use
  11. is it ok to use an motorcycle carb syncronizer to do car carbs? or would the car carbs be to big and cause to much vacumme or something to get reading?
  12. the top 1 im pretty sure my one does not have. the 2nd pic yes it does have. in the manual it says Door Lock= Door locking pilot light. with the iginition-stater switch is "ON"; the light glows when both left and right doors are not locked from the inside. Window washer fluid quantity pilot light= with the iginition-stater switch is "ON"; the light glows when the washer fluid quantity is less than 0.3L ( 0.63 pt. ).

  14. im just looking at my 1400 boucher ive got and there is an pic showing steering collum and it looks like it has the same shaped thing on it. yep thats factory looking at drivers hand book and shows larger pic of it. still cant find out wat it does.
  15. im just wondering what this is? i cant seem to make it work so mite be worn out. its the wee box on the steering comlom. it has an wee switch on it. its on my 1973 1400 GSR any ideas what it is? Thanxs
  16. sweet thanxs for that. i cant find any thing like that on trade me our verson of ebay :-\ i think theres an electronic 1 that you can get. just cant remember where i saw the info about it
  17. i will look and get back to you on that. my 1973 GL coupe has disks on front and drums on rear
  18. um parts here are so hard to come by here anyway. im looking for an rear GSR badge. im never seen an twin carb gsr motor or parts yet. in fact this is the only gsr motor ive ever seen. i cant go buy any rubber etc at the moment coz im jobless at the moment. what are we going to do about rubber door seals etc? i was driving along in the heavy rain and had water getting past the side window and was spraying me in the face
