  1. Im with the pocket the money and run camp, that doesnt look like 4200 bucks worth of damage to me
  2. Perhaps park it on blocks to keep the tires off the ground, and help detour potential car jackers
  3. Hell Yeah! Those hot wheels stickers are the shiznit! How much for a set? +1 on what sizes are available -Bill
  4. Its not a stool, he's test fitting his super light wieght racing seat
  5. I think if I followed it home I might end up taking it home with me... its just too gorgeous!
  6. The EA82 rear assembly is about 3 or 4 inches or so wider than an EA71 rear, i swapped an EA82 rear assembly into my '80 Brat, I will be doing the front swap too, and discs all around. I believe Jerry told me the EA81 rear assembly is only 1 inch wider than the EA71 rear end. -Bill
  7. Ok, so I have seen it 3 times now, it is MINT! Its a black EA81 coupe with gold trim and gold 13 inch Enkie mesh wheels, the torsion bar is cranked up in the rear, and the body looks absolutely beautiful. Ive never gotten really close to it, other than getting passed by it on the road 3 times, up around the YVCC area. If this is a board member's car, pipe up cuz this car is the s**t! -Bill
  8. I guess the oil deposit poblem would be for those with the hot wire MAF sensor, not particualarly with the flapper style unit.
  9. So, is there a need for roads where you are goin Doc? I love Deloreans!
  10. it looks wonderful, I love that brat, its just tooo bad @$$! Im finally gettin my brat built, slowly and intermittently, but its comin along, here's its thread, if youre interested http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=85068&highlight=My+Brat
  11. DUDE! I HAVE DRIVEN THAT THING! IT IS AWESOME!!!!! How's the canopy workin out?
  12. the gearing in low range isnt quite the same as stock tires in high, running 31's on the highway, I am revving 3500 rpm going 55 in low in 5th gear, where as before I was revving 2750 in high. However, in high range with 31's, in 4th gear going 55mph I am revving at 2750 rpm. Ive had the vehicle up past 70mph, and it will hold 60 well. And Im running an EA81 in an EA82 car. Not so great for hardcore wheelin', but good enough for some fun offroad.
  13. I run 31's, I use low gear 2wd in town, and I shift into 2wd hi on the highway after second gear. And 2 speed reverse kicks @$$.
  14. If you are doing a carbed EA81 in an EA82 car, that is exactly what I did with the Beast. The intake from an EA82 should fit an EA81 fine, I know Jerry in Selah did this on his hatch brat, and I did it on the Beast, but on my motor I had to make spacers cuz the manifold was hitting the block in the middle. On the motor in my Brat though, the EA82 manifold went on with no problems.
  15. There are a couple threads with a video of a hatch running tracks on it, do a search for hatch with tracks
  16. yep, thats from about 3? weeks ago, we were bored, went to kill some time...
  17. Im pretty sure he is talking about alcohol as in like 450 proof everclear type stuff, ethanol is crap, and it will never EVER be able to fuel ANY country.
  18. My dad ran alcohol on his 75 Ford for a few years, he says he had to clean the carb out every couple of weeks cuz sludge would build up inside all the parts.
  19. He's prolly an unofficial spokesman. I also find that hard to believe. Also, with additives, you gotta consider cost effectiveness, as in how much of the stuff do you have to buy and what kind of gains you get. Prolly just bs cuz all it does is clean your system. so if your mileage increases its cuz you got a lot of crud built up in there.
  20. If thats all the damage, why dont you get the check for the value of the car, then rebuild it with a salvage title? that doesnt look that bad, just replace the trunklid and fix the taillight area and boom, car is back
  21. sure, how much you want for em?
  22. You should look into makin a 22r/20r hybrid, a 22r with a slightly modified 20r head, the 20r head flows better and boosts compression.
  23. where did you get those mirrors, and do you have a drivers side one handy? I could use one for my wagon, for when I have the doors off cuz I broke the Brat mirror I had on when I rolled it. Or I could use your old door mirrors
