all i can say is, probably, but I don't really know. Try backflushing the heater core and see if that helps.

Well at least it don't smell like a turd, eh? -
I know most of us have done it at least once, some of us do it on a regular basis, so what's your story? How did you break your first subaru, or what was your worst incident, or the funniest, or so on? I broke my first axle on the Beast about a month after i got it runnin, muddin in a corn field! This was back before I lifted it too. Nuthin but trouble since then

you have the axle on 180 degrees off, I had the same problem. pull it off the stub shaft and rotate it 180 degrees and the pin should fit fine -
Hybrids really aren't that fuel efficient anyway, unless you have a Prius or an Insight. Most hybrids, including camry, civic, accord, escape, and the like don't get much better than 40mpg at best, and for the most part Subaru is one of the most fuel efficient cars on the planet, and I don't think they have even considered hybrids

Need some opinions on this car
The Beast I Drive replied to tidd1340's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
the bluebook on a car like that is only like 1000 bucks anyways, so 2 grand seems kinda steep, but it could be worth it, but you should see it in person first -
I, for one, like the way you think.

I have no problem with smokers. Obviously these cars are allowed on the streets, I sure haven't heard of any type of a recall for insufficient smog control equipment. I know my car is illegal, but I got pulled over one day, and the stater took 15 minutes to find anything wrong with my car, and he only cited me for an improper lift(which was complete bull****, I got that cleared up in court) and not having mudflaps. Ha.

it dumps out to the side, right under the rear doors

they don't get tested cuz they aren't major manufacturers like Ford or Honda, they are independents, and in theory their exhausts pass tests, but real world testing shows they don't. These guys are in the game for performance, not smog control, so I just don't think they really care

I didn't just lose the cat, there is no emissions at all on my car. And nothing is simpler than 4 ft of pipe and a glasspack off each head.
-
I read an article in one of the car mags that was about aftermarket tuners like Saleen and like 6 other companies that mod Vipers, Mustangs, Corvettes, and the like, and not a single one of these STREET LEGAL performance cars that are driven off the lot every day passed a smog test.

It's a definite possibility, especially with a 20 year old cat or a high flow cat. To make it be free-er flowing, the honeycomb material has to be bigger, so more gasses make it out to the atmosphere. I talked to the guys at Flowmaster about those, and they said there really isn't any improvement with their cats over stock ones anyways. Oh, and I LOVE hydrocarbons btw

Yeah, i know what you mean, me and my dad went in there once to get some snow wheels for my mom's GL, but that was a while back and they didn't have the wheels inside, so went and touched everything
