  1. lol and the I-5 had crappy oil pumps plauged by problems trust me I rebuilt mine 2 times due to the same crap every 70 - 90 k miles stupid Eurovan had its 109-horsepower, 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine , I was never impressed with my milage or power but yes they were smooth as heck ,the power of a weak 4 cyl and the milage of a crappy v-6 , think they had planned on the other way around . makes me wonder how GMs lil 5 cyl project is working out .... and my justy has 1,144,671 on it and I am on motor # 3 that just went to crap , I dont care what anyone says , I dont think that car has EVER had an easy day , I drive like I am racing all the time heck on easter weekend I took the doors and back hatch off and cruised it out on the sand dunes , it maybe not the most powerfull in the line of soobs and may not be the most reliable , but it is an EXTREMELY better car than the other alternatives in the 3cyl area , I hated my geo ( when the just - y died the first time ended up with a geo by way of some curse ) and the swift is nothing more than a geo any way so soob did it right as they have done many times before and many times since.
  2. lol the 13-b wankel rotary is what came in the rx-7 I have one that hit a pole it5 was a savanna edition and had twin upgraded turbos although they are t-3 hybrid with p-52 trim wheel though not a tottal buff on turbos I have been told that there will too much turbo lag and that whoever set it up must not of known exactly what they were doing I am going to be attempting to put it in the 88 justy just to royally annoy the honda civics , accords and all the other rice mobiles , just for entertainment factor he he hee I think it would be really fun if I could get it together and leave the justy stock looking and muffle the crap out of it so that no one would even relise that it had been modded \ just the look on thos little rice lovers faces when they got hammered by a justy would be worth any amount of hours invested .... ok and because I LOVe the justy dont know why I love them so much ... ah but what the heck I do so rock on
  3. Well I have had a few plans for one of my justys I found an rx-7 with a 13-b rotary and am about to start cuttong suspension from under an 88 justy had originally planned on doing it to my 94 justy but soon found that FI justys are hard to come by , so the carbied one will be less of a crime incase I fail , I really want that twin turbo 13-B wankel in that lil car it would be quite a gas ! but at the same time a 400 hp 2.5 sooby motor from metric motors is equally as tempting though I am not sure about tranny and drive train , though metric motors are completly stand alone engines plug in the gas and the power wire in a key and go .... I may be taking another 88 from a friend of mine a putting the body on my lifted but rolled over samurai it would be cool to see what looked like a justy sitting on 36 inches of rubber though with my wife back in school I think the financial bottom just dropped out of these pipe dreams ... now I am left just sitting here looking for a good fi block for my 94 so I can once again cruise my baby ( had it since 1996 ) it was my first car has 1 million 144 thousand on the odometer
  4. 2 things - ask your self how it is that it got to be one tooth off , not really sure if thats an interference motor or not , but if thats the original belt and it somehow slid a tooth I would replace it and inspect the tensioner really well , 2nd if there isnt oil in the coolant and its not shooting steam when you start it chances are your ok on the head gasket , most people dont have any clue whats wrong with their cars . so never trust any one , even if the head gaskets where toast you got a free car so what if you have to drop a few dimes into it but like I said take a close look at that belt if there is the tinyiest twinge of doubt in your mind that belt id 90 % good dont use it .
  5. well if ya needs a head let me know I happen to have a spare
  6. as long as it doest do it at certain RPM just at a certain speed then you know full well that its a balance issue in the lower drive train , chances are if you see even a slight wobble in the D/L then its the most likely suspect , good luck !
