  1. Just as the title says, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a nice weekend camping/ 4 wheeling trip to Paragon orv park in Hazleton PA, http://www.offroaders.com/album/paragon/paragon04212005/index.html If so we could start planning, and set a date.I know they have trails from extreme, to mild. I am not lifted yet, so I guess anbyone would be welcome, in any type of vehicle. Just let me know. If anyone has already been there please chime in, thoughts are welcome.
  2. Caleb, I am curious, how much boost are you running out of the TD04? Isnt that an eclipse/evo turbo? Also at what compression are you running. I noticed in your profile it said "high compression EA82T". Are you running a SPFI, or carbed block? And you do have the Nissan injectors correct, out of a 280 I think it is right?
  3. Very sharp indeed. I may steal your fender cut technique for mine. Very clean.
  4. the other day a nice Hatch came into my shop the other day for an oil change. It had a carbed EA81, 4 spd D/R trans, and was in great shape. I looked in the door jam and saw the tag said 88 gl. I had no idea they made gl hatches with an ea81, and 4 spd trans that late. It looked like a late 70's model. Can anyone shed some light on this? Is that a rare car?
  5. My 87 GL10 with a JDM EA82T will hit 100 in no time. I am afraid to take it faster, but I know it will go. Something about 13" tires going 100 mph and the centrifical force pulling the tires so that there is only like 2" of tire hitting the ground scares me.
  6. I am still planning on going. This paycheck just sucked though. (flat rate mechanic....no work=paycheck) When is the dead line for registration? I know its only like $15 but when you only have $70 to raise a family of four on and 2 more weeks till next payday that is a lot. This was the worst ever, I have never got a paycheck like this before....But I will still be there somehow.
  7. A d/r 4wd is llike a truck 4wd. It has 4wd and 4wd low range which gives you a mechanicle gear reduction. If you only get a awd, or regular 4wd you will find they usually dont have the tourque to get you moving in the soft stuff....unless it is an automatic where the tourque converter can help.
  8. Nothing can beat a well built yota IMO. I would know.
  9. Your right, it stopped working ...wierd. Ill fix it. the site isnt supported by my hoster. Go here and scroll down to hear it. (its worth it I think) http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1569711
  10. They were taken at a local park in york. Its just a little 800 acre horse park. I really want to find some local trails here as the scenery is awesome. Vid works for me. Maybe right click save as. Open with media player.
  11. Thats right, the dirtwagon is alive! After 5 months and over $1000 total spent, she is a live.....with a few goodies(injectors, more b00st, struts, and a minor lift kit(4" soon to come along with some 29" tires)). Here is a few pics taken from York, Pa where I now reside. I also included a new sound clip. Sorry for the resolution, I was in "auto" mode. I am going to try and resize them better. sound clip turn it up fockers. At the end you can hear the air squeezer spoolin down. go here and click sound clip link. USMB isnt supported by my image hoster. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1569711
  12. LOL.. I will probably be up Sat morning, so I dont have to miss 2 days of work. Ill just come sat, and Sun. When the time draws closer, just IM me your phone #, and Ill call Sat morning before we leave. thanks...
  13. OK, well after checking out the web sites.....I am in. I will register in a few weeks (march 25th). I will be there. I also map quested it, so more than likely we will drive back and forth every day. I'm in. After you register, do they send you a map of where you will be, or do we all meet up prior to going in?
  14. So basically it is a car show, and you can camp out in the vacinity?.... Are the cars judged, or just show and tell? Sorry for the questions but, I just want to be prepared. Is there a web site that would help better prepare me for this event? I am very interested, as you can tell. Basically I am trying to decide if I should roll solo, or if the family should come. My wife is not to fond of long car shows for long periods of time, how are there other events? As far as where in york I live, I live in Windsor. I work at the NTB on rt 30.
  15. Hey guys, long story short, I just moved to Pa (york), and am wanting to get involved with the Suby community. As some of you know, I was VERY involved in Ohio, having organised meets and everything. If someone can please let me know a little more about the "club" and the Carlisle meet, I would appreciate it. What goes on there? and is anyone camping? Currently I have my 87 gl-10 running real well now. It has the honda springs in the back, new struts all the way around, new injectors, D/R conversion, new axles, and I am working on a wrx turbo, TMIC, WRX seats, big brake conversion, and Allied lift. I already have tires and wheels (225/75/14 wildcats). I am not out to destroy my gl but love trail riding, and camping. Is Carlisle a good meet for me and my son?
  16. Hey Stonefish, I am only about an hour from Hershey, would it be ok, if I were to stop by and take a gander at it? I would also like to take some pics if at all possible?
  17. Sure, give me a few days, and an IM so I dont forget.
  18. So the axles will work with my d/r swap? Or will I need to change DOJ's? The one I am looking at is a 98 Forrester EJ25.
  19. Mine were the same wire colors, just different positions on the different connectors. Doesnt surprise me though. Of course the years may have something to do with it as well.
  20. I have done this swap before in my 87 wagon. Basically you have switch the bungs from the right of the engine(as if you were the engine), and use the plugs in the original mainifold to plug the old holes. The intakes are symetrical. As far as the wireing goes, if you take a small dental pick the metal pieces inside the connector will unclip and then reclip into the oem connector. The wires are the same color, just a different connector. dont cut and splice, it will change the resistance values. feel free to email me any questions you may have.
  21. Couldnt you bypass the turbo outlet cooling hose so it went somewhere else? That way hot coolant from the tirbo wouldnt be dumping into the head.
  22. I just moved to Pa and went junk yarding. My local j/yards are littered with newer forresters and legacy's. I was just wondering if any of the parts would be compatible with my 87 gl10. I am especially interested in the brakes and hubs. A big brake conversion would be nice. Possibly the front stuts as well.
  23. I loved mine...until it kept breaking down. (electrical gremlins)
  24. Man that is sick. I am really thinking about doing this, or a swapped 2.5rs.
