  1. Make sure when you put the head bolts back in you use some kind of molly grease. I would replace them as well.
  2. Dang, nice going Ed. You will have to let me know how the delta cams work out in the tubo engine. That may be a nice future mod for me. Also, I would definatly try and get some of that engine bay cleaned up, looks like mine now. You are going to have one mean rx. It will be pretty cool to see it at the meet.
  3. Even the people in the local subaru forum think NASIOC is full of rice. I am not saying everyone who posts there is, but I think they have more than their fair share.
  4. So I guess saying that a 20 year old car is a waste of time, isnt a smart assed comment? I dont have a chip on my shoulder, ask anyone who has ever met me. I am a nice guy. How ever, when I ask a simple question, I expect a non-biased answer.
  5. Man I cannot stand that site, it full of a bunch of ignorant rich ricer kids....for the most part. Here is my thread http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10723911#post10723911 You ask a well written polite question and that is the respoce you get. Any way, I contacted Cobb tuning about making programmers for our turbo models ecm. That way we would be able to re-map the fuel/air/spark settings to run bigger injectors, and more boost the right way. Ill keep everyone informed. From what it looks like thaey may be able to do it for about $150-$200. Pre programmed settings you just pick which one.
  6. Here is my old 85 jumping a hill. I used to jump her a lot...until the strut came through the tower...(about a year of hard abuse)
  7. I have 210,000 on my 87. Runs ok other than some spooky spark cut out above 4000k. Could be the coil or spak control though.
  8. Damn, that looks clean. I have a wrx tmic I am wanting to install as well. I am just waiting on the funds to get the bov and hood scoop.
  9. More pics 600hp anyone? Yes, Ill have a double order! Old School represent this was also a Saaburu meet Subies everywhere
  10. Had a great time. Over 50 subies. all WRX, STI, Legacy's,1 forrester, 1 SVX, and me representing the "old School". Over 50 cars. 600 hp sti make that 2
  11. Bad connection. Put in a new link and the probalem is solved. thanks.
  12. OK, I will try replacing it. Thanks. Ill let you know maybe tonight.
  13. I noticed the fusable link under the hood closest to the firewall is getting hot after I drive the car. It is the main fusable link that controls the power to everything. Im talking about the peice of wire in the little black box by the radiator coolant overflow bottle. It is the one closest to the firewall. Is this normal? I dont want a short that will catch my car on fire. Thanks-Jason.
  14. So is it possible to get a flash file done? Has anyone looked into it? I remember when I worked at subaru they use to flash ecms for people. Maybe Jet or another company could do it, or at least make us a chip.
  15. Why would it have to know, for timing and spark? What about installing an AFC with injectors? Has anyone used an AFC yet?

    Jackpot

Yes, it is nice, BUT I bet he doesnt have D/R and twin LSD's.
  17. They are in CA. They can make any size injector you want. Our injectors are only metered by fuel pressure and the impulse in which they are opened and closed by the ECM. Really all the injectors purpose is, is to just atomise the fuel. The opening and closing of the solidnoid on top of the injector is what meters it. If you raise the fuel pressure you will get more fuel when combined with an adjustable FPR. If you get bigger injectors, you will need more fuel pressure, and bigger fuel rails to carry it there(see 3/16" or 1/4" brake lines for the fuel rails). The ECM doesnt know how much fuel is going in to the cylinder, it is just programed to open the injector for a set amount of time based on throttle position and the maf reading. The ECM does not meter the fuel. If you increase the volume at which the fuel flows, you will get more fuel when the injectors open. More volume and pressure will yield more fuel. If the Nissan injectores are such a great mod, than why will no ones car run right?
  18. It apperas that a 225cc injector would be around $90 a peice. That really isnt to bad.
  19. After doing some research I came upon a company that specializes in "made to order" injectors. They said that with a donated injector they can build injectors to meet any auto need. I dont know about the prices yet, but if someone else wants to call their site is here: http://www.rceng.com/Default.htm Their name is RC Engineering, and they produce injectors for many of todays top tuner racing teams. Being that ours is a standard top fed bosh design, I think tghey could make one pretty easily for us. Ill call and see if they can duplicate something. I need to know what stock cc ours flow at and what would be suitable for say 15 psi of boost. I am thinking about 240cc. Give me your feed back and maybe we can get a group buy going. Taken off of their site: "We can provide injectors in any format, any type of mounting or fuel rail configuration. These include hose end, large o - ring American / European fuel rail, small o - ring Japanese fuel rail and custom additional controller units."
  20. Heres a few of my suby: Yes, I made it up this hill after 3 tries This hill only required one try
  21. The site is coming along Miles. A mod should make a sticky for some of those "how-to" links.
  22. I made a cool air induction on my 87 gl10. I took the maf adapter and put a peice of flex hose on it. Than I drilled a 3" hole through my inner fender and mounted a big K@N filter in between my fenders where the stock resonator went. Ill get pics soon. I had a few, but I acidentally deleted them. So now my open element filter is in between my inner and outer fender with the plastic mud gaurd sheilding it from the elements. It works great.
  23. Those are not direct bolt on wheels, which he is looking for.
