  1. That was kind of creepy in a "ringish" way. Very cool.
  2. Sounds good. As it turn out, I had a run of good luck, so I may be installing the lift sooner than planned. Keeps yopu eyes peeled for a thread in a few weeks.
  3. A lot of people are giving this guy a hard time. Why? He is marketing a new lift for us to buy and use, giving us more choices in the web of modifacation. Some of you are obviously not familar with the wide assortment of products offered to other makes of vehicles for offroading. What is wrong with having more than one company producing a product? Nothing. As far as copying a PK lift he stated he used it merely as a comparison. PK lifts have been around for a while and have dominated the market, so in short I guess one could say they could be the best offered so far... why not study one and see where it could be improved upon? That is all he did. He made a product, looked at his competitors, and found small things similar to throw into the mix. I see nothing wrong with that. Everyone complains about the lack of an aftermarket support for our vehicles, but when someone new trys to create a product everyone here gives them a hard time. That is not the way to gain product support for our vehicles. I will be buying one of his lifts around the 10th of April. Look for a write up and review soon. -Jason
  4. I sent you an email. Everthing sounds good, and I am interested in a lift.

    D/R swap ?'s

Sweet!!!11!!oneone!!11 God that will save me a lot of $$$ for my swap. Thanks guys.
  6. I will agree with fox here. 86-88 gl10 wagon ea82 either mpfi or I would pick the spfi. I love the sunroof in my wagon, it gives it a since of luxery I think. Mine is an 87, has power everything, cruise, ac, a nice cargo area, and is for the most part cheap to maintain. They are a dime a dozen at junk yardsw so parts are readily available. I have the tubo modle and I have cruised 80-90 mph for 800 miles before no problems. It seems the higher it is rev'ed the more it likes it.
  7. It would cost way morte than 10k. Probably 17-19. I wouldn't get onbe just for the fact a new style makes 3x the power and gets better gas milage.

    D/R swap ?'s

. I think it came out an an 84 gl5 wagon. It is going into an 87 gl10 5 spd s/r wagon ea82t. I though the splines on the hubs were the same. It is just the 25/23 spline doj's that are different right? I have 25 now, and I need 23.

    D/R swap ?'s

I have my tranny now minus the shifters and I will be picking up my new diff soon. I know with my engine being an ea82t I will need the auto turbo axles, but instaed of buying auto turbo axles couldn't I just use regular N/A axles and change my hubs? New axles are $70 a piece, and I could get hubs, and axles for half that at the junk yard. Thanks.
  10. He has had the trans rebuilt on it, and now it has been in the body shop for 2 years getting completely restored. I found him an ej22 complete with ecu and harness (13000 mi only too) for $230 but he pussed out. I am going to show him this thread and maybe that will coax him a little more.
  11. It is about 45 minutes from Columbus where we will be so we can have a nice cool convoy out there. Here is the map. Both the orange and green have trails we canm ride on.
  12. OK, I will see how long it takes to get to the wheeling spot. BTW, I have great news. I found a nice wheeling spot on private property with camping (primative) in Zanesville, OH. It is called Tony's mudbog. It is 180 acres with various trail difficulties, and and 2 mud pits(1 deep, another shallower). The only catch is, is I had to go through another e-web buddy who owns the land. His catch was, was that he had to supervise the outing and go wheeling with us in his broncoII. The reason for this is because his park has been getting vandalised(SP?) and he wants to preserve the offroad park. He will waive the fees for us since this an offroad event. I figured inviting him along was the least I could do for giving a good place wheel and camp. Any thoughts/objections?
  13. I had a problem like that and I had over tourqued my pressure plate so the disc wouldn't release. I too had thought it was the throwout bearing until I dropped the trans again, and found out the hard way.
  14. From what I understand, yes. I think you have to grind it down a little, but That is what I have heard.
  15. No, not the whole axle, the birfields. The outer part of the suby axle (hub side) has all of the same spline counts and diameter as the stock sami axles. They change out like a u-joint.
  16. Cool. My dad has an 86 syncro vanagan and has been contemplating the same swap. I have been trying to coax him into it, but i dont know....
  17. EA82T clutch for me. Has a stronger pressure plate for better grab. Not much though, but a little.
  18. More than likely its the valve stem seals leaking. The oil just gets through and your engine burns it up when you start it. It wouldn't be your turbo leaking because the exhaust would be to cold to burn it for a while.
  19. As far as I know all of the ea82 flywheels are the same. The pressure plates are different in that the springs are stiffer from the n/a and turbo, BUT the spline counts are all the same. You can mix and match them without any worries. I had a turbo clutch disc with a n/a carbbed flywheel and pressure plate on my project junker and it worked fine. I am also going to use a turbo disc, and pressure plate when I do my D/R conversion on my 87 gl10.
  20. The dirtwagon. (Alleyboy came up with that) It was suby2.
  21. I am using a blaster coil now with the stock spark control. It doesn't really do anything until the higher rpms, IMO, and it has not left me stranded like the accel coil.
  22. I wonder how it works? Like what are its guts and if could be duplicated cheaper.
