  1. Yes I do need a new tank and I cant fill it up all the way, and I just replaced plug, wires cap rotor, distributor, and both fuel filters about a month ago. It just seems like such a dramatic drop in mpg. Ive just stuck with the 4_5 gallons cus I knew how far it would get me until now lol.
  2. Thats the obvious which im planning on doing. Its just unusual since ive been using milage for about a year now for refueling.
  3. Ok keepin it short but ive run out of gas twice in a week. my fuel gauge doesnt work all the time and when it doesnt I go by milage. Since ive got 27" tires I take into consideration that about 50 mi on the odometer means about 60 actual miles. Usually I go 65 mi on 4 gallons of gas and put another 4 or 5 galons in but ive ran out at about 45_55 mi recently. Its not leaking anywhere, and I dont smell gas while driving or parked. Any ideas on what I could do mabey carb issues or somethin idk. Other than havin spare gas in the trunk which has been savin me from being stranded lol. Thanks.
  4. I just thought this was a pretty cool picture of the coupe, not sure if it's what your lookin for. If it was a lil closer you might be able to make out the SJR sticker in the side window. GL with your search for pics. Its got a 3/4 inch SJR lift, 15 inch Superlite wheels, and 27x9.5 TSL's
  5. Finally got the coupe running after changing the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, distributor, and coil., and figuring out the timing. It's nice to have it back on the road. I LOVE MY SUBARU.
  6. Ok well the battery is fine ( its only a little over a year old). I cleaned it up a lil and it turned right over and over ..... so I moved the distributor back and forth to try to get it lined up better and its so close to fireing up, but I got a friend comin over tomorrow with a timing light to get the timing correct and hopefully it start ok. I had the old wires on and my new ones came in tonight so i picked them up and went to put them on and they are too short for 1 & 3 and to the coil. The same thing happened a year and a half ago when I bought NGK plugs and they are numbered wrong too. Has anyone else had trouble with NGK plug lenghts and if so what are the right ones for my 83 coupe EA-81.
  7. So my car wasnt fireing up and I changed my distributor, cap, rotr, plugs, wires, and coil all this weekend. I go to start it up after im all done and it cranks over but then slowly dies after about ten seconds. I put it on a charger for a couple hours and even more dead than before. I check the connection and it seems fine. A few hours later try it again and still totally dead WTF. Is there anything I couldve done to cause eomething to be draining power that fast. Thanks
  8. Thanks Rick I'm definitly gonna talk to those guys. Much appreciated.
  9. thanks for the help.I think Ill get it ok I'm just havin a hard time finding a disty for a decent price and fining out theres 2 different kinds of them for my car depending on 2whl or 4 whl drive and I found that SOA wants $588.00 for one. Hmm anyways if anyone knows where to get a good cheap ditributor please let me know. Again not sure if it should be Hitatchi, carter or denzel or whatever. I know I found them from $150.00 to $260.00 other than the only 2 left from SOA but thats way outta my budget. And by the way my 83 gl coupe 1800 is origionally 2whl but has been converted to 4wd if it makes a difference but should probably go by 2 wd
  10. So I'm thinkin my subi needs a new distributor and I've never replaced one before but it looks prety easy. I just wanna make sure it's lined up right and ive gotten a few tips but again I just want to make sure I do it right. Is there any advice to be given. Much appreciated.
  11. I recently did one in my 83 coupe and it was pretty easy. I had to take the clutch pedal off to get the new cable on . just follow the old one through the fire wall and hook it up the same way the other one was.
  12. Had a great time. Thanks Greg for takin me on some trails just outside of the fairgrounds. I had trouble downloading the videos but workin on it. Thanks to all WCSS staff. It was a great weekend.
  13. I know there's a convoy leaving Friday morn from Portland but my brother and I cant leave till the afternoon. Is there anyone else interested in getting some subies together if you're wanting to go around 3-ish. Depending on if its just us or not also depends on which HWY we'll be taking. I love the drive on Washington's 14 but if its more convenient and more Oregon guys wanna join in on Oregon's 84 then that'll be cool. Just wondering
  14. Thanks alot for doing all you guys do to make it so enjoyable for all of us. It's awesome being able to get together with a bunch of other subi owners and you guys try to keep us entertained too.I just wanna say thanks to all of you that make WCSS happen!
  15. Sweet I'll take it. Thanks Earl how much do you want for it?

  20. Sooo mabey you(fred) can ride with me and the wife can drive the motorhome. Cus I can only fit so much stuff in the back seat and trunk of the coupe. But Fred is gettin packed in before any other gear lol. I'm soo sorry about the brat bro.
  21. ya already got a spare axle in the trunk just in case. That sounds fun we'll figure it out at the show. I'm looking forward to seeing all you guys again, and thanks for guiding us back last year it was fun hitting those light trails and gravel roads.
  22. I'd love to go but we'll see what happens when we get there.Sounds like a great plan I'd love to do some Wheeling without breaking anything. And if stock rigs can go then my bro might be up for it too with his brat. We gotta do somethin since theres not a mud pit this year, and I really need to get the coupe out n get her dirty:)
  23. Thats a sweet bumper. I've seen other pics of your subi, you've got a very nice n clean wagon.
