once you guys figure out details post e'm up. I'm in Vancouver and my brother (sinbin) is in Portland wer'e both wanting to join. We loved rollin with the norther Oregon guys last year but I would like to go hwy 14 and can't really leave as early as they are wanting to. So it would be cool to still get in a caravan on the Washington side. Tony

[/img][/img] so I dont see a metal sheath at the end in the engine does it look like the older one? There is one bolt on the back of the pedal and there is a clamp at the engine end.

Thanks GD I might take you up on that ,and ya I had a cable go out on an 84 sedan I had years ago and it wasnt fun but I figured out just when to shift n start it in gear from stoplights n stuff. I think Ill replace that today. Wasn't sure if the turbo springs might give me another inch of lift but doesnt sound like it would make a difference.

I always make sure the lock nut is tight but ya I was tinkin the cable might go soon, and I've got a webber where exactly should I look. Excuse my lack of mechanical knowledge lol. thanks.

So my 83 coupe is hard to shift into gear sometime and I tighten the clutch cable and it seems to help for an hour or so but my pedal is getting pretty tight the gear oil level is fine, and more and more lateley when i start my car it seems to want to keep turning over but not starting right away, any suggestions? Thanks. Also are turbo brat springs a little bit bigger than regular EA81 stock?

Ya 92 Rugby I remember you and no I havent fixed it yet It yet. Its fine though as long as I dont fill it more than 3/4. I'll get to it one of theses days.Thanks for the compliment bud. Glad to see you're bringing a subie this year:)

Its an 83 EA81 with a 5speed D/R .I've tried starting it in gear and it wont go anywhere, it makes a sound like the teeth are grinding or worn out or something.

So I was drivin today and as soon as I pull into the store I put the coupe in 1st and it made a grinding sound but would not drive. IDK if its a throw out bearing or what, Ive still got compression in the cluth pedal but the car wont move. Does anyone around Vancouver wanna come and check it out -possibly fix .I wish I knew how to on my own but anyways I appreciate the help.

My 83 coupe just turned 150,000 miles I've been putting 10/30w in it is there any other sugestions on certain brands or different weights.
