  1. Thanks for the help. Picked up some 3/8" from Carquest and it went on fine. No problem with kinking either. Thanks, Bob
  2. Did a search for this but didn't find a definitive answer. Replacing a radiator in a 1994 Subaru Legacy 2.2L FWD AT. I was wondering if the ATF cooling hoses are standard hoses and if so what they are? The ones on the car are the original and have never been removed. They are showing cracks so figure I would replace them while I'm there. Plus they are stuck pretty good on the radiator so are probably not going to come off in one piece Thanks, Bob
  3. Thanks for the replies. Ended up digging around the NAPA website some more and found some (didn't show up on initial search). Part number is NBH H187.
  4. Hi, Car: 1994 Legacy 2.2L AT Non-Turbo with 180K miles. I'm trying to replace the hose the comes off the engine near the IACV goes into a plastic T that then connects back to the PCV valve. Looks like the hose is 19mm (3/4"). Haven't been able to find anything locally (parts store and dealership). Any idea who might carry it? Thanks, Bob
  5. I did. Mine doesn't have groves to go into though (the engine surface and IACV surface are flat).
  6. Hi, I have a 1994 2.2L Non-Turbo AT FWD Legacy with 180k miles. I removed the IACV to clean and test it. I see the valve open and close on the engine side. On the hose tab, I see a tab sitting about a quarter into the opening. Was wondering if something should be moving on the hose side as well. Didn't think it should but thought I should ask before reinstalling it. Why did I remove it: Car would not start and after doing some tests just started running again but had a rough idle and threw a Code 24. Tried using seafoam through the hose to the IACV but that didn't help (seemed to make it worse) so thought I would pull and test it. Thanks, Bob
  7. I have a 93 Legacy with manual transmission. When working in the engine compartment the section of the cable right above transmission came apart (looks like it was already loose to begin with). I've been trying to reconnect it but its a real pain since there is not much play in the cable. Thought I had it once but it barley worked and then the speedometer quit working. I was wondering if the small section connected to the transmission can be removed to give me some room to work with? I removed the plastic bolt\screw but the cable seemed pretty snug in the transmission so I didn't want to pull to hard and break something so I thought I would check first since the service manual is pretty vague. Thanks, Bob
