  2. does anyone know if a digital dash on an 88 gl 10 sedan will retro fit into an 86 gl10 wagon, without changing sending units etc.?? i kinda like the cool digital as opposedto the analog dash inthe 86. thanks dan
  3. THANKS just was wondering what it might do. still can't get the engine to idle below 1000 rpm. must be a vacuum leak i can't find. thanks again DAN
  4. right u are i dug out an old chilton manual & there it was, big as life so i swapped wires & guess what not a damn thing happened, car has 107 kms. & it's been sitting 20 yrs.just found out about u.s.m.b. yesterday or i would've been here yrs. ago.we are up in the sticks of no. b.c. info kinda trickles in up here.any further ideas on how to turn that damn lite off?? how about i leave it disconnected??

YO:SALT AIR RECYCLING on the island is the biggest subaru used parts place, haven't dealt with them so can't tell u how good they are or not.last time i called them they didn't have a lot of brat stuff tho.jim in maple ridge has lots of cars but no brats at present[ 604 466 6860] hope this helps DAN
  6. has anyone taken apart the idle circuit solenoid & removed the needle valve, how will the carb work? i'm thinking i have a problem that is in the solenoid, & was just wondering if removing that needle valve would create any other probs?
  7. the wagon is an 86 carbed gl, new engine, minimal smog junk,no oxygen sensor,doesn't want to idle below 900rpm.&the dash egr lite will not go off. have tried 3 diff carbs, 2 different egr valves,1 vacuum solenoid,sprayed ether at all hose joints trying to find vacuum leak to no avail.can't figure out where the egr lite is getting it's signal from.have disconnected battery several times trying to get ecm to reset,no go, am getting a tad frustrated, any ideas will be tried THANKS DAN
