  1. I just finished my front hubs on my 85 Ea82 Stock 15" by 5 1/2" toyota wheels with 195/50/R15 tires. they fit the wheel wells great. Now its time to tackle the rear drums. Cheers.
  2. If you decide you need a motor i have a low milage 1.8 make offer and pay shipping :-) Cheers R.
  3. Been there done that lol 6 lug stuff is far more plentiful than XT6 stuff and i already have rear disks ;-). No need for fancy off road wheels either lol. Cheers R.
  4. Yea i learned that the first time i made a franken trans. Burned the ring gear up in 3 months never stopped going but it made a crazy grinding noise wile driving lol. Cheers R.
  5. Could be, trans came from a wagon with a shady past before it went to my car. Anyways I have been adjusting to my new work schedule graveyard rotating 12hr shift. I have found some time between work and sleep to get the EJ case halves put together with the EA gear sets its sealed and torqued now im waiting to do the EA tail shaft till my day off then put it in and mock the other goodies up. Cheers R.
  6. I know like ??? stock 2.2 legacy sedan cam home frome a weekend away it was super cold i pulled out onto the road and about half way through 2nd gear it literally sounded like a grenade went off and it would free rev in all gears. Cheers R.
  7. Can you spot whats missing? Here is a Hint Still stumped Here you go :-) Brush your teeth or your lose'um kids! Just how like all at the same time... ? Cheers R.
  8. well i guess i kinda ran into this one half cocked and let my mind wander. The basic idea is to be able to jump in with a couple personal ruck sacks and a "Battle Box" with enough to survive away from chaos in the middle of nowhere with the rig for up to 10 days and enough to survive 3 days on foot in the rucks. There is more to the plan than just the rig its more of a visual for survival practice and prepping for emergency situations. We have places that we hike and started talking about survival practice leading to choosing out locations to evacuate to if large scale emergency, Riots, Bombs, Zombies but in all its turning into a fun hobby and outdoor activity that might save a life or my own some day. Pictures to come soon of the FWD EJ 5 speed i pulled apart for the bell housing. The neat part is it came from my old sedan and it made a loud noise one day and stopped "going" nothing in any gear HMM. Well its open and there are some fun pictures tune in soon! @ SAME USMB TIME SAME USMB THREAD~~~! Cheers Rob.
  9. Here are your options, Pull the drain plug and count the teeth on your ring gear and count check against the other one. I'm assuming you are dealing with a 5 speed the first gen legacy had 4.11 but only in the early years like 89,90,91 after 92 all standards were 3.9 in an N/a legacy, This has been my experience through the transmission games i have played. Hope it helps Cheers R.
  10. You mean cheap and easy? I'll Take it! XD Cheers R.
  11. SO COOL!!!! At first i was a little worried but seeing that spider intake and TMIC it looks really good in there. I really like the modified strut towers looks like a simple way to do it that wide body isn't to shabby either Cheers R.

Jesus so much going on, Its like abstract art with 4 wheel drive bits ;-) keep it up! Cheers R.
  13. Cant wait to get my toy out in that mess of cars :-) got the fever. Cheers R
  14. Well that gets the ball rolling weight was my concern as i want to do it on all 4 corners as i still want this rig to be somewhat light weight but we will see. I like the idea of duel piston hmmm the options i think i need to make a trip the the junk yard to research. Cheers R.
  15. getting bits painted. ALL The Rustolium ! Cheers R.
  16. Gloyal, Dont be such a purest ;-) at least its not (ford) :-P. I'm not too worried about the duel e brake idea, An open front diff has never been an issue as long as my rear was is welded. I think it would be nice to have the stopping power and with larger tires the little brakes tend to get hot if you do a lot of highway driving. Then there is the fact that you would probably never have to change them again lol. Cheers R.
  17. Said he did the swap 2 years prior to the show i think still the same pads. I want to do this all the way around on my rig. Cheers R.
  18. At WCSS15 there was a maroon brat with chevy 6 lug rotors on the front. is he on here? I will try to find the picture but as far as i can tell he removed the stock rotor and put the chevy "Floater Rotor" over his 6 lug converted Hub then made his own mount for the 1/2 ton brake calipers. It looked beefy and a weekend job i think i want to tackle it on the Bug out rig. Cheers.
  19. Waiting for me to build the EJ Push button trans..... Getting rained out though :-( But stay tuned this driveway build will continue!!! Cheers R.
  20. As far as the running gear she is lifted the trans cross member will go in when the trans/driveline goes in lol. Cheers R
  21. Thinking this project should be renamed "Crisis Coupe" :-)
  22. It crossed my mind..... lol but no six wheel for this rig. Yea i was thinking about that i relocated the battery to the back over the rear sub frame and there will be a full size spare on a swing away rack. I also removed a lot of weight from the front the car is more balanced length wise the steel tubing for the rear boxed section should bring the weight to about right. Here is where i sit so far need to finish the diff hanger and the drivers side rear shock top, then it will roll after that there is the trans bracket driveline bracket. I have 15x9 toyota spoked wheels for it looking for tires. Cheers R.
  23. Nope what you see is what is going to be there. The back of the car will be 37" from the back wall. Cheers R.
  24. Worked on the lift today decided to go with 6" :-) cant wait pics soon.
