i actualy did my front breaks befor i left for the coast so breaks worked prety good as long as i did not mash on them but most of the time it was a combo of compression and normal breaking but both worked great. -
dave on the left justin (woogy) on right getting ou of auburn outside cle elum Trip was a success was good to get out of town the EJ had plenty of power with the 3.7 turbo Transmission no lo range pulled snoqualmie pass in 3rd gear at 52 MPH was great got a lot of looks an thumbs up from truckers EJ swap is by far the best swap i have ever done. Total trip around 400 miles burned 18 gallons of fuel estemated mileage around 25mpg i think that is pretty good for hauling an empty trailer half the time and a 4x4 station wagon the other half. Thanks for looking Rob.

sweet this year is gonna rock -
yeah no it will not work like that if you remove a front axle on a 5 speed AWD trans from a legacy it will move on the rear wheel power but slowly due to the front diff still being open if you can split the trans and weld the front diff you may be able to get all the power out the rear. If you remove the rear driveline and put some kind of plug over the out shaft to keep gear oil in you can drive it just fine. i know because i did it well not welding the front diff but i removed the front axles.

subaruguru replied to subaruguru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
yes and it only took me doinf one EJ swap to find that i coudl go with out another ea82 T or not T so thats whats going to happen to the sedan EJ all the way and with it already 4x4 and 5 speed all i need to do is the harness and get an adapter ring for the trans. Rob. -
