  1. it clears the turbo but not the down pipe we found it will be easyer to just move the down pipe over about an inch and it will clear the steering. cheers
  2. IIRC the DOHC and SOHC are the same width the only difference is the depth might just be having a moment i can check tomorrow. cheers R.
  3. the legacy 5 speed is stronger than most think and unless he is running a turbo he should be fine i have beat the hell out of the legacy 5 speed and NEVER blown one up with a stock engine. Cheers R.
  4. the engine will fit the legacy trans will fit IF it is a 5 speed the rear diff will fit that much i know for sure but the running gear (suspension, 5 lug stuff) will take alot of work to make fit do a few searches it has been covered more than a few times.   5. you can't run true duel one pipe out off each head without losing your low end power because of the boxer design. but you can put a cross pipe between them and you will be fine i did this on my hatch with an ea81 and put a cherry bomb on each side. Cheers R.

  11. thats a puzzler there it could be leaking from behind the torque converter that means rear main seal IIRC. the idle issue might try cleaning the maf and make sure you dont have any vacuum leaks

  14. OK so i know its the unicorn i have searched till my fingers hurt i can not find it does anyone have a pinout for this engine really really need it to get my car running for the show. even a pinout for a similar engine. Any help TIA Cheers R.

As of now i am looking for a wiring guy i fought with it testing and trying to read the diagrams but i cant figure out what i need to get power to the ECU i have power in the harness i know this but i have no clue what plug went to the ignition. I really don't want to fry the ECU so is there anyone who is willing to help me out? Cheers R.

  17. if your car is a 4WD auto it is 3.9 ratio in this case you will just need a D/R trans and the peddles ect. all D/R trans are 3.9 unless from a turbo rig then it is 3.7 those are the basics there are a few other options but if you just find a plain jane 5sp D/R car thats all the parts you will need. OH THERE ARE NO ELECTRIC D/R TRANSMISSIONS. Cheers R.
  18. will be working on this one have parts to swap out to make the body straight it has been swapped to an ea81 engine and 4 speed D/R trans it is to be the GFs second subaru Cheers R.
  19. it's actually a DL lol started out as a FWD auto DL coupe then it was a 2.2 swapped with GL-10 5 speed 4WD swapped now its the TT 2.0 with an AWD 4eat 4.444 trans, XT6 5 lug swap and XT6 sway bars. OH and i chopped the rood off to make it a brat thanks to Bill (thebeastidrive) for his great fab work. after this years show it will be getting gen 2 brat sheet metal for the bed rails and the Gen 2 brat T top roof grafted in.
