Spotted heading south on US395 between Cold Springs and Stead Nevada was a ea82 wagon with the back cut off to be made into a truck bed. It was a strange site to see but it was cool none the least. It was a Blue Grey oxidized paint. Is this anyone’s on the board???? I should have followed but I was heading North. :-\ I couldn’t get my digi camera to turn on fast enough.

Yeah I changed over to 134A last year on my Legacy and Loyale. The Wal-Mart kit works fine. I had a bit of trouble with the cheap plastic connector but it worked. Make sure you get all the old oil out of the system first. Stay cool.

Jibs thanks for the plant offer. I might take you up on that. By since my Woman works at a Plant Nursery also, I have all the plants I need. For now.

Yeah I work 10-6 on sunday. If the door greater wont let you in, just have them page me. Costco is also a great company if you like long lines, rude employees, short hours and a $45 membership fee. Check both places out before you make up your mind though. Sometimes I think Costco has better merchandise. Oops sorry about high-jacking your post jibs. :-\

Unfortunately I can't give free memberships. I don't even get an employee discount for working there. I can get you in the store if you like. Take a look around and if you like what you see it's only $35 a year to join. I think it's worth it just for gas. We are still at $1.95 for club members. Everywhere else in town is like $2.20 now. Go to Sam's Club Web site it will give you a taste for what we carry.

Hey if you guys are going to meet up in Reno on the 15th let me know! As of now I have to work, but that could always change. If I have to work, meet up at the Sam's Club parking lot, I can take a lunch or a long break when you all get there.

Ive used Fram filters for years. Not really knowing how crappy they are. Never really had many issues with them. But my last oil change I used a napa filter (wix) now I have a tad higher oil pressure and my engine runs much quieter. hum..... I'm convinced.

My EA81 Hatchback has been having this power loss issue for quite a while now. I replaced and tested just about everything I could think of. So I took it to a mechanic and he told me the cat was plugged up. Ok well that narrowed it down. But I needed to save money to buy a new cat. Well today while driving the car, it seems to have fixed it's self. There was this loud POP, then black smoke shot out the tail pipe and my power returned. Felt like a new car. So my question is.... what caused this loud POP and the black smoke???? Seems really strange to me. :-\ But boy am I happy now to be able to climb the mountains again! Thanks,

Well, I tooled around with the idea of a EJ22 engine swap into a EA81 body. It's possible. Little to much work for me at the moment. I hope the group uses something other then the EJ25 in the GL.... ick

Scrub, do you have any 90-91 RED legacys in your yard?? I need a drivers door and front fender? The door can be off a 90-94 though.

Yeah, I met up with one of the guys once. Nice dude. He owned a 2002 Outback sport all mooded out. We went wheelin in the snow. I think he has bought a WRX since then though. I see the group driving on 395 every few Saturdays. And yes brian we do need your all mighty powerful subie to tow all of us poor unlifted subies out of the snow. Hehe

It took me a while to figure out the spring compressor also. The compressor was a bit big for those little springs. I installed the honda springs also. I love the look and the payload it added to the car. As for the ride, it's a bit more bouncy off road, but it handles just fine on the pavement. Have Fun!

Haha thats funny you mention Peavine. I used to wheel up there in my 91 Legacy. haha almost got stuck a few times. Gotta love the views. But now that I have my 84 Hatchback that mountain is a piece of cake!! Jibs, I'm on the corner of ***** and ******* Dr. Cant miss me.. .I have 4 subaru's in my driveway. And yes, I'v I have seen you drive by! Brian, get your wagon running and take a trip up here!!!! Maybe we can hit up Doyal grade again.
