Northern Nevada Subaru Meet
subieman replied to subieman's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
Yay! more locals on the USMB! Good to meet you. Well get together from time to time to go wheelin when the snow melts. I'll let you know when we meet up again. How about some details on your ride!! Later, -
My parking lights and horn do not work on my 90 Legacy Sedan. This is a project car I am fixing up to give to my girlfriend. It sat for about a year and a half. I’m thinking maybe mice chewed threw some wiring somewhere? The head lights work and so do the dash lights. When I turn the headlight switch on or push the horn I can hear the relays clicking… but no sound or lights. When I flip on the parking light switch on the steering conceal still nothing. All the fuses are good. Does anyone have a schematic or something I can look at??? Any advice would help out. Thanks!

Wow that sure beats the one I made out of 2x4's and plywood.. hehe I need one like yours for my summer road trip across the South west. Nice Job!

rear spring up grade 4 cheap!
subieman replied to rallyruss's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I couldn’t get the nut off the strut to take just the spring at the yard. Pick n Pull only charged me $40 for both struts?? Guess it depends on what yard you go to. -

No they dont say Honda on them, no mods are necessary and yes available at pnp. They bolt right on but you must use a spring compressor. calebz yes we need to figure out a way to raise the front end a bit. I'm thinking about installing some strut spacers if that would work. -

Rallyruss, your a damn genius!! I've been having trouble hauling bags of fire pellets home in my Loyale. I can get about 10, 40 pound bags in the back and I'm riding on the stops. Makes the car handle really poorly. I installed coils out of a 87 accord and WHOA!! I hauled home 20 bags of pellets, around 800 pounds and I still had a few inches of travel in the suspension. Here is a pic of my newly raised-beefed up Loyale. Picture really does not show the difference. But its better then nothing! Thanks again! -
Man it was close to 80 last Sunday. And now it's snowing!!??? I could go for the cold weather all year round if it was up to me! I'll be driving over the summit tomorrow. Hope it's white!

This Sunday 3-21 a few of us are going to meet up in either Carson City or Reno. Plan is to have a mini meet and then go wheelin. Time and place has not be decided yet. If anyone is interested please contact me or NVzeno.

Hey brian. I got a legacy sedan sitting in my back yard. If you need any parts just let me know. -
NVzeno lives closer to Reno-Carson City...not Las Vegas.
-
Wow I'm sold. Front springs off a accord is now on my pick n pull list. Thanks guys.
-
Where do you crank up the preload on a ea82? I'v never heard of that? When I pick up 15 bags of 40 lb fire pellets I'm riding on the stops.
-
Yeah I bought a axle from Kragen (same as Schucks I guess). The boot tore and the CV went bad within the year. Oh and I cant ever seem to get a good alternator from them.. Grrrrr

Dave, I remember you telling me about some trails out where I am… north 395 somewhere???? Where exactly is that? I need to go check it out. -

Well is Reno close enough??? Glad to see another local on the board. There aren’t to many around here. A billion Subaru's up here and almost no one has found the board yet. -
During my lunch break today I drove into the Wendy’s parking lot and low-and-behold I saw two 05 Subies. One was a Outback and the other a 2.5GT wagon. Goose bumps ran all over my body, I was so excited to see them. I looked inside and there were wires and computer looking gadgets all over the place. Plates were from Michigan. Looks to me there were on some kinda test drive or something. I sat in the parking lot and 8 Japanese’s guys hopped into the subies and took off. I gave one a thumbs up and returned the favor. One pointed at my Loyale and laughed Grrrrr :madder: Sorry no pictures. I took my camera out of the car the night before. Oh well. As for the styling I love the rear end of the wagon. The outback sat really high and looked big. Almost like a mini SUV. Interior was beautiful. But overall kinda mixed feelings between the generation 3 and the now the 4. The 3 is a beautiful machine, but I'm sure the 4 will grow on me really fast!!

help with '92 Subaru Loyale
subieman replied to Jrtbighurt's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yeah same thing happened to me with my Loyale. After I changed the cap and pugs, no start. I was pulling my hair out. Then I found that I put the wires in the wrong order on the cap. You just might wanna double check. -
