  1. Nice ride. The turbo manual trannys are hard to find at a reasonable price. Marlin sells them rebuilt. Not sure if the turbo T-case is interchangable to a manual turbo tranny. Might have to find a combo.
  2. HHHHHHmmmmmmmmmm, stop twisting my arm . What are you going to drive up there? I can't do a tree because I have plans already for my tree, but I could use a good laugh watching you guys
  3. Its going to be deeeeeeep up there. Of course it is suposed to warm up to 50 over the weekend. Should make it a nice weekend for you folks.
  4. From: Dave Hiatt As you know, the WA OHV Alliance (establishing and communicating all ATV, 4WD & (Off Highway Motorcycle) OHM agreed upon positions) is working on two major land use issues at this time. 1) Have a WOHVA volunteer assigned to each public land manager in WA State. These volunteers will need to have face-to-face contact with their land manager in the area they live and/or ride, often enough to be recognized as a WOHVA point of contact. This includes BLM, DNR & USFS land management. We hope to have a well charted organization of volunteers with at least one volunteer per land manager in 2007. These volunteers will be the people who communicate issues from those Districts to the WOHVA land use committee and communicate WOHVA information to that land manager. This subcommittee will create and maintain this contact list of email, phone numbers, and U.S. Mail address information. 2) The clock is moving very fast on the USFS Travel Management Plan which will CLOSE every motorized route not designated as open in 2009! A subcommittee of volunteers needs to work together this winter to ensure that we have properly identified and requested every existing motorized route on the Wenatchee - Okanogan National Forest to remain open. We must also identify and request every potential motorized route to be opened under this Travel Plan. This project needs people who are very experienced on the ground in the Wenatchee - Okanogan (and soon every other National Forest in WA State). We will be using the NOHVCC DVD to create GPS data for submission. To read NOHVCC's Press Release or order your copy click the following link. http://www.nohvcc. org/IMAGES/ prgps.asp. Lots of this work can be done using our PCs and various GPS compatible mapping software. Some of it will undoubtedly need to be done on the ground with GPS tracking devices after the snow melts. This subcommittee will actually put together detailed information and provide it to the USFS through our land management contacts and official channels. Remember, these projects encompass all wheeled motorized use, ATV, 4WD & OHM in WA State. Please help! Remember to get your riding buddies involved too! In-person committee meetings will be held to re-establish committee and subcommittee officers. However, much of the detailed work can be accomplished without in-person meetings. So sign up and help get these projects going! Send an email to dhiatt@hpgmc. com stating what parts of this you would like help with. I will coordinate the initial meeting so we get these going. However, our By-Laws specify that WOHVA Board of Directors, such as myself, are not permitted to be a committee chair. Thanks, Dave Hiatt WOHVA Secretary
  5. No, it wasn't a survey to allow open exhaust per say. There is a limit that is already set in place to prevent that on any motorized vehicle. I can't remember what it is off hand. I do agree with you on being way to loud. Thanks for replying anyhow.
  6. Stolen? That bites. So next summer then you might be ready?
  7. Haven't heard from you in a while. How is that Toy coming along? I still need the cage built. http://www.nw-wheelers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5469
  8. Take a look here. Good organization to join. http://www.pnw4wda.org/
  9. Survey for what? I would guess if it is state then the DNR in Olympia can help or the county can help also.
  10. I got a shoe box if you want it.
  11. Watch out for the PoPo. They are citing rigs for not being street legal on the way to Evans. It was stated by one of the PoPo that they got a grant for this year and the next "to clean up the area". It's nice to that they are spending our tax money to cite 4xers instead of catching real criminals.
  12. I got some pics, hang on and I will get them posted.
  13. Here is some info on local trails in WA state from 426rider "Notes are from the Region 2 meeting tonight. Evans Creek- This area is open for the winter. The winter closure was retracted due to the work of the PNW4WDA. There is a closed door focus group meeting on oct 24th and a whiter river forest district user meeting(open to public) on Dec 12th at the DNR meeting hall in enumclaw. Elbe Hills- There is a work party this weekend to finish bridges on the sunshine trail. The new reservation process for the campground is working well for the user and for DNR. Oct 26th there is a user meeting at the fire station on 304th in grahm. Tahuya- There are workparties planned for the next 3 weekends, doing some maint before winter comes. For more info contact Jeff Williams from the Quadrapaws. Jefferson County OHV area- There has been a survey handed and emailed out so that the county can get an idea on wich site to push toward and what kind and amount of use a new OHV park might see. I will try and get that linked here. There will also be a Jeff. Co. "field trip" to Tahuya on Nov. 7th for county officials to see what could be expected from a new OHV park in their area. WOHVA- Washington Off Highway Vehicle Alliance-The website is now up at www.wohva.org but is still under construction. There will be a WOHVA expo at straddleline ORV park on July 28th 07. They are also accepting memberships- Single, Club, or Business. There is a Washington state trails conference on november 3&4 at the Clarion Hotel in Yakima, WA. You must register to attend. Now everyone go get involved somewhere." Thanks, Greg
  14. We need everyone to help out here. Please pass this around to other ORV users and boards. Please take this survey about ORV noise regulations and enforcement, and changes that may come. If you get the clout email there is more info there. ON THE SURVEY, - Tell them to leave the sound levels where they are. Be careful how you answer the questions, i.e. do not give them any reason to create another Big Brother bureaucracy to prey on you and your kids! - Tell the IAC to quit wasting your NOVA funds "studying" non-issues like this and to do something positive for OHV recreation for a change! Then let all of your motorized 4WD, ATV, Snowmobile, and Off Highway Motorcycle (OHM) friends know about this survey. You can bet most of the anti-OHV/anti- access people in the U.S.A. are going to hear about it from the WTA and Sierra Club! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=491542728878
  15. Oh, things changed since I read it. That is better then what I previously saw. I like the new forum.
  16. A fellow named Mike Cash (Crash) who lives in Goldbar. Real close to Reiter Trails. He runs this forum http://www.nw-wheelers.com/forum/index.php And is shop is here www.Crashfab.com
  17. For thoughs who like to wheel Evens Creek here is some info to think about. This might be a hint that we need to step up and take care of what we have as far as wheelen grounds. The mud boggers are probably high on the watch list here. This was taken from the pnw4wda.org website. http://www.pnw4wda.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3008&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= Arlene Brooks: Washington Executive Director "I have talked with the White River District today and the official word is: The District will not this winter be physically closing the 4x4 trails outlined in the order, or changing the management approach from what has been done over the previous years. However, as the District prepares for the scheduled "Improvement Plan" for the ORV area - monitoring winter use will be taking place with regards to water quality, erosion, and resource damage. We are back to square one for the time being - as the PNW representatives and the District personal work together on the management approach of Evans Creek. AB" So now, what can we do to help instead of gripe? :-\ Mods, you can move this to where ever if needed. You guys need a forum that covers Trails - news, runs and events.
  18. Yep, it was a last minute thing. My junk might be going up north for its cage soon so I wanted to sqeeze in a couple runs before that. Naches also closes soon. 676 should be alot of fun since it rained.
  19. Me and another Toy are headed up and over the Naches and plan on doing the 676 trail or maybe Funny Rocks and the Moon Rocks on Oct. 21. Just a day trip. Any you Subaru folks wanna join us. Lift, aggressive tires, locked and a smile is recommended. I ain't lookin to prove anything, just thought I would extend an invite for a day of fun. We will be leaving Bonney lake around 7:AM and taking the 70 road to the first entrence of the Naches. EDIT: I forget this is a world wide board. This trail is located in WA state. Come on guys, I have yet to wheel some trails with Subarus. This is another trial run for me with my new build, so you can laugh at me when my crap breaks.
  20. Did mtnman38 get his house? Tell him to PM heep70.
  21. I replace my trans and wanted to put the right crap in it. The other trans lost a bearing by the way it sounded. Just wanted to make sure there was some unique master blended wacked out gear oil that these things run on. I ended up reading to put in GL-5 80-90 in it. Wanted to go with the right stuff, I am getting tired of fixing this POS all the time.
