  1. Yes, EJ25 Engine. Wires are new. 118k. Looking at NGK Iridium
  2. Have a 2002 4 cylinder outback. I know vehicle calls for resistor plugs but i am tired of changing them every 30 k. Can anyone recomend a premium platinum plug for this engine. Should I use twin electrode no gap plugs or single electrode.
  3. Where is the PCV Valve located on a 2002 Outback Four Cylinder?
  4. Almost time to do the timing belt on a 2002 outback. Currently have 90k . I also intend to replace the cam seals ; oil seals ; water pump; drive belts as well as a coolant change and new hoses. Don't know if I am missing anything. Anybody have similiar job done? Will use an independent mechanic in the Southern , Ct. Area. Labor is around $65.00 hour here. I intend to purchase the timing belt and water pump from Subaru to ensure quality and fit and will give to shop.
  5. IT only leaks at a cold start up. I observed a drip coming from the gasket right near the external trans filter. was told that it might be the rear extension housung , but that does'nt sound right.
  6. Does The 2002 Outback Use A Pan Gasket Or Do You Just Use Rtv To Form A Gasket. Mine Leaks And I Need To Replace.
  7. BUY THE FUMOTO OIL DRAIN VALVE. NO MORE CRUSH WASHER TO DAEL WITH. MAKES OIL CHANGES EASY AND NEAT.
  8. Read a post some time ago about this topic. I am going to replace car battery on 2002 Outback Wagon. Security system is the factory Alpine Remote System. How do I reset the security system once new battery is connected? I heard that the parking lights will stay on or flash until reprogramed.
  9. Fan is unobstructed and turns freely. I jumped fan to battery and it ran fine.Agree, probably a chaffed wire.
  10. 2002 outback - 4cyl. main cooling fan does not operate. Found blown fuse. Replaced fuse and fan ran for 2-3 seconds, then blew again. Possible bad relay? Anyone with similar problem?
