  1. If you want to check on shipping I'll donate one. I know its on the other side of the globe, but just incase you don't have any luck.
  2. Man, I gotta say this. You're one of the most conservative 16 yr olds I've ever met(well not really met). And I respect that.
  3. Nope, thats all powered seperately.
  4. You can get rid of anything and everything not stricly engine control oriented.
  5. There has been a post of two about it here. You basically just have to redrill a few holes on the plate and bolt it up.
  6. The VSS will be coming from your speedo, not sure exactly about which ones on an ea82 car. But look there. You will throw a cel for the nuetral switch if you don't hook it to something. A modified clutch switch from a loyale would suffice. Just something to tell the ecu that you are in neutral at some point in time will keep the cel at bay. The early ej22 vss is in the speedo as well, it will only have a second vss if it is an awd auto tranny. In which case it won't matter, because the tcu will not be in the equation.
  7. They would bolt up to the lower radiator support and engine crossmember. You can mod an ea82 car's stock plate to fit your OBW.
  8. I can tell you now, it will handle great. But won't get out of its own way. Made about half a mountain run sunday in the hatch before I got thuroughly disgusted(and the temp guage got above half).
  9. I don't recall the motor code, but we got the s/c-er in the late 80's early 90's MR2.
  10. I would imagine it would be more trouble than its worth to try and strip out the ea engine stuff. It is spidered into the harness just like the ej donor harness. If you stripped out everything you didn't need from the ej harness you should be able to get it all tucked away with some creativity. A few people has left the ej harness un the spare tire well of the car for troubleshooting on initial start up, and then got things buttoned up after it was running.
  11. You can pull your stock ecu, as its no longer needed. But the rest of the car's wiring will stay. That grey four wire plug in pic one, looks to be for your o2 sensor.
  12. I'm gonna have to say no. I'd go with either oem or ngk wires. And nothing but ngk plugs.
  13. What you talking bout... There is, just gotta convert to ej fronts first, lol
  14. While I have either haynes or chilton manuals for general stuff. I wouldn't trust them as far as a fetus could throw them for wiring and critical information. FSM is the only way to go for that stuff.
  15. I'm going to move for charges of grave robbing.
  16. Damn, this info would have been great about 12 years ago. We had the exact same problem on an 88 gl spfi.
  17. Its the door dinger box. Its really not a big deal at all, unless you want it to work.
  18. Hmmm, I guess I need to pay more attention to the forum its posted in... Does the door dinger button work right on that side. IIRC the belts get their signal to opperate from them. That would be the first place I looked. Or you could go to a j/y and find some 85-89 gl/dl manual belts and pillar trim.
  19. I would go ahead and replace the idlers just to be on the safe end of things. The rear main seal is a definate yes in my book. It would be in your best interest to get the flywheel resurfaced. It generally doesn't cost that much, my local shop did the one from my 95 for $18 iirc, and had it back to me within the hour. I would venture to say your water pump will be ok. My mom's has 180k on the original(will be replaced soon) and has never had a problem(knock on wood). Those pipes for the heater core would be availible at the dealer, most likely not at a parts store. As long as the throw out bearing clips are not broken or missing you should be able to re use them with no problems. Sorry I'm a little out of order. Good Luck.
  20. Those things are crap IMHO. http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=32077 You need something like this from a canadian car.
  21. He's not bad past the point of repair. I've beat the crap out of cars in much worse shape. Connie, you could look for some 15 or 16" wheels from a legacy or impreza. That will open up tire choices greatly. Its hard to find any good performance tires in 14". I had good luck with Kumho tires on my integra. I had the 711's on it, they were a good all around tire. And would take anything I would throw at them.
